Hello everyone. I am a brother in Christ, and we are meeting each other for the first time.
I don't know how it happened, but I'd say about a year ago, my spiritual eyes were opened in a way that they hadn't been before, as I had been briefly caught up in the Lakeland Revival, though after watching some videos on YouTube, courtesy of my dad, it turned around. About three or four months ago, I received an even greater shaking, as my eyes were opened to things that I just took as passing criticism. The first day I was able to admit I felt uneasy about some things going in the church, it's like a switch took place in my mind, and I knew my life was going to be different. It was a fresh revelation and filling of the Holy Spirit!
It feels like a second birth, in a sense, because the way I've thought has transformed, and much of it has had to do with what I've been listening to or reading from the main speakers listed on this site, such as Paul Washer and David Wilkerson. I've subscribed to the Classics podcast, and I cannot stop listening. I haven't listened to even a third of them yet, though most of those I've listened to, I've listened to at least two or three times. I don't think I could say it's the first time I've grown, but I've never grown like this before.
You may be curious about the name. It's actually a Greek word ανάστασις, which means "resurrection." For some reason this name was laid on my heart, though now I realize why: Because before a seed can bloom, it must fall into the ground and die. There is no resurrection into glory unless there is first death. And that's what I've come here to do: To learn how to die. So far, the ministry of this site has been instrumental in that aspect, and so now I would like to step in deeper.
And who are each of you? Could you tell me something about yourself? Where are you from, what denomination (if you have one), whatever you'd like to say about either yourself or the forums. Also, what insights do you know your brothers and sisters to bring here? Thank you :)
God bless you all.
