Please, celebrate with me, I found my missing treasure

Remember the woman who had lost a piece of silver and how she searched until she found it and then called her neighbors in to celebrate the find.

I finally found a passage of Scripture I was looking for. Praise the Lord for the Journal I keep. I have a collection of events and sayings entered on a calendar and each day I check to see what appointments we might have and to see what of significance may have happened in our personal history. I, also, have Scriptures I particularly feel important entered there. Yesterday I found the one I had been searching for months to find.

One of the reasons I couldn't find it, was that I have practically memorized it from the Amplified Bible version and I was searching in the KJV.

Hebrews 13-5 Let your character be free from love of money - including greed, avarice, lust and craving for earthly possessions - and be satisfied with your present circumstances and with what you have; for God Himself has said, I will not in any way fail you nor give you up nor leave you without support. I will not, I will not, I will not in any degree leave you helpless, nor forsake nor let you down (relax my hold on you). Assuredly not!
6 - So we take comfort and are encouraged and confidently and boldly say, The Lord is my Helper, I will not be seized with alarm - I will not fear or dread or be terrified. What can man do to me?

Going hand in hand with that is the Matthew Henry Commentary:

God hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. This was said to Joshua, but belongs to all the faithful servants of God. Old-Testament promises may be applied to New-Testament saints. This promise contains the sum and substance of all the promises. I will never, no, never leave thee, nor ever forsake thee. [b]Here are no fewer than five negatives heaped together, to confirm the promise[/b]; the true believer shall have the gracious presence of God with him in life, at death, and for ever. (2.) From this comprehensive promise they may assure themselves of help from God: So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper; I will not fear what man shall do unto me, v. 6. Men can do nothing against God, and God can make all that men do against his people to turn to their good.

This is more precious than all the money in the world. Because of this, along, I can say, I am truly rich - rich enough to give it all away and still have plenty. :-P

It is always a pleasure and a delight to find - eventually - what you were looking for. God will always bring it about at the right time. In time one will marvel at the timing because of events that follow.

When a Bible School instructor expounded on the richness of this declaration, I still remember the sense of awe that filled this man. His sense of wonder and pleasure of it has always stayed with me, especially during difficult times.

Not only is this promise true, it is so comforting.
