[b]Alan Redpath on Kingdom Living based on Beatitudes Matt. 5
Happy (Blessed) are the poor in spirit
or
Better to be humble than self-confident
Happy are those that mourn
or
Better to be sensitive, than thick skinned
Happy are the meek
or
Better to be gentle than push yourself
Happy are those that hunger and thirst after righteousness
or
Better to be ambitious for goodness than promotion
Happy are the merciful
or
Better to be kind to the needy than cultivate the rich
Happy are the pure in heart
or
Better to be open and honest than pull strings to get things done the way you want them
Happy are the peacemakers
or
Better to calm things down than stand up for your own point of view
Happy are those who are persecuted for righteousness sake
Happy are you when men revile you, persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account
or
Better to be an underdog than fight the system
(The mark of greatness in a Christian is the ability to forgive)
