Just wanted to tell you how very much that our Family appreciated your Prayers for my Beloved Husband and ourselves, during the most difficult time of our life.

We have the assurance that Homer made it Home.
To his Heavenly Home, and for this we are eternally greatful to God our Father.

God gave me this Poem.
I would like to share with you.
May our Father in Heaven richly bless all on SI.

My Beloved Husband, Homer,"
passed away today.
He isn't any longer just a lump of clay.
For God took him Home with Him to stay.

I knew he was gone when I saw the Dove,
I knew he was with our Father above.
Who now is really showing him how much he is, and was loved.
July 26th 2009.
Entered into the total Rest and Peace of God.

Dear sister,

That is beautiful ...

Can I ask, the dove ... was this both literally and figuratively? It sent chills through me due to some past experiences.

I pray you are doing well and are in peace.

Dear Nellie,

You are sharing the life of Christ at your husbands passing. I trust that my wife, should she remain behind me, will bring glory to God at my passing, in this same sublimely victorious spirit.

This is the great day of triumph for all who are in Christ! The world tells us to spend our lives in self-realization, but we were given the call to realize only Christ in our lives as best we knew how. And, when the steam of this brief lives fades from our vision, we will see our beloved, his perfect love ours to enjoy and adore for all eternity.

"He will swallow up death for all time, and the Lord God will wipe tears away from all faces...He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away." Isaiah 25:8 and Revelation 21:4.

How very very different is our death from those who have no hope.

Assurance in Christ,

Mike

Mike, it was a literal Dove.
And someone sent some Flowers to the Funeral with a dove on them.
I love Doves.
God Bless you.

. . . it was a literal Dove . . . I love Doves

Oh what a precious Saviour we have. He knows just exactly what we need to see to comfort our unbelieving heart. Keeping you in prayer my dear sister.

Dear Nellie,
That's a lovely poem and what wonderful comfirmation to use a dove and knowing how much you like them, too! What a blessing from the Lord!
The same thing happened to my family and me whilst we were sitting outside the hospital at dawn, just an hour after dad left this earth to go to his eternal home~ Doves flew right over one side of the bench where we were sitting to the other side. It was as if our heavenly Father was saying, he is with me, blessed and no longer in pain. Isn't it so wonderful how our loving Saviour shows His love to us in ways we need and at the right time.
There are times when the Holy Spirit has brought you to mind and I've just had to take some time aside to pray and I will continue to do so.

Nellie,
I just found this post - we were gone for two weeks and had such limited access to the web...

I am so glad you are experiencing the comfort from the LORD during this time of loss. You know when a child of God passes into eternity, there is great rejoicing in heaven so then in His mercy and grace He does allow loved ones left behind to experience a tiny glimpse of this joy.

God bless you...
