This is one of the two messages by Paul Washer that I would put in my favorites section of sermons I have heard (the other is Loved of God). It is a sermon that clearly lays out whether one is born again. For the believer, it brings assurance, especially towards the end of the message through some of the encouragement given directly to the Christian who is struggling with sin and assurance. But it also is a clear wake-up call to those who have made a profession of faith and claim the holy Name of Jesus Christ as their label, yet the fruit that comes from their lives is putrefying flesh, thorns and briers. And to those it is a call of repentance and seeking God for true regeneration.
So for those who have never listened to this sermon...I recommend you take the time (around 75 minutes) to listen to it and examine yourselves. We live in days of rampant deception and we do ourselves no harm in considering our spiritual standing with God and His Holy Word. And in examining ourselves, let us turn our eyes to Jesus Christ our mighty Redeemer who saves us to the uttermost!
