FEATURE: About / Faq section...

I am very pleased to announce that I have found an appriopriate script that is going to accomidate the sermonindex website and offer great functionality in helping people find the answers to their questions.On the Main Menu to the left is a Link called: "Help / FAQ" and when you click it an help option box appears on the right hand side of the site in a seperate window. This is the new FAQ database!Please note I have not gotten alot of questions and answers up and am intending to get many more up in the coming days. I would appreciate feedback on this and also suggested topics and questions.

I like it!Thats great Ron! yea I really think its a great addition and feature to the site. It will really help me spend less time responding over the same emails again and again. Its hoped to build up the database so its quite extensive.

I have decided to place a link called "Help / FAQ" at the top of the homepage and in other places throughout the site to help direct people that are seeking answers to questions of most kinds for this ministry. Again if you have any questions that you think should be covered or topics let me know.

what type of operating system and browser are you using? possibly your text size overall is too small?

Hi,I use WinMe, IE6, and have an 19 inches screen, so I don't think that that is the problem. I think it might be the same thing for everybody.

Hi Didier,What screen resolution are you running? I am guessing at maybe 1024 x 768? or more?Have you tried setting it back to 800 x 600?I know a bit of the frustration here, though a bit different. At home running Win XP I keep it at 800 x 600 and primarily it is because going any higher causes the site to not fill the screen, leaving a 3 inch border that is really annoying. At work the setup is Win 2000 Nt Pro and with a larger monitor surface the same thing, except the fonts look awful..guess I have been spoiled.Still digging around the net looking for some way of adjusting resolutions with certain webpages in a proper kind of way.Found these 'browsersizer' programs but they don't apply to this kind of problem, just a shorcut to what you can change in your display properties. Maybe Greg can give us a better idea...

I have changed my screen resolution to 600x800. Of course everything is bigger, and the sermonindex page fills the whole screen now.But still, the info on the left hand window i.e. the name of the poster, date, etc... is still small and hard to read. Maybe it is because the font is grey instead of being black. It is useful to see the date of the posting.But, brothers, don't worry about this detail, it is not important.

Hi Didier,I know it's not important but annoyances can be like a buzzing fly sometimes... ;-) Try clicking on:ToolsInternet OptionsAccesibility...Make sure all the boxes are unchecked.In the same order above also try 'fonts',"Language Script": Should be 'Latin based'"Web page font": 'Times New Roman'"Plain text font": 'Courier new'

Yes the text shows smaller then other text on the forums but its still the same dark grey color and Mike is right to ask you to ensure you have the correct pre-installed fonts on your computer. Do you have hard time seeing small text on the internet to begin with?

Thank you brothers for your help.I can see everything else fine and the settings are all ok. So don't worry too much about this.Maybe others have the same problem, but they have not bothered with it; I might be too much of a perfectionist!We don't need to go further with this - thanks again!
