Just introducing myself -- I'm nobody special, but happy to find another website with so much wealth of spiritual insight from great giants of the faith. There is so much out there that is just false and misleading. It's truly a blessing to find this island of sermon treasure.TM

Be encouraged and ask questions, share things. Great to have you.

I'm nobody special...Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant looking for fine pearls. When he found one of great value, he went away and sold everything he had and bought it. Seems to be special enough for him to sell everything.

When I logged back on this afternoon I did't expect so many replies to my introduction -- and all so demonstrative of Christian unity. Isn't it wonderful that there are so many "true" points of light all over this planet, every one not deigning to hide, but shining forth without fear. God is good.I know I shall enjoy coming here to learn and fellowship.Has anyone ever done a survey of the diverse faiths that post here?

Has anyone ever done a survey of the diverse faiths that post here?Faiths as in different religions? Or denominations? From my experience there really hasnt been an adherent to a different faith then christianity that has posted here. It is partially to do with the very niche level this site pertains to within the evangelical body of Christians. Even not that many Catholics to my knoweldge have actively posted.

Faiths as in different religions? Or denominations?Oh -- yes, I'm sorry. I meant denominations. I truly believe there is only one way, and that is through Christ Jesus.

Oh -- yes, I'm sorry. I meant denominations. I truly believe there is only one way, and that is through Christ Jesus.I ran a poll a long time ago.. I would say from almost every denomination.. quite a few house church people, also pentecostal or charismatic. I am personally go to a presbyterian church.

I am personally go to a presbyterian church.Thank you for sharing that, and the info on your poll. I am Reformed.I personally feel that discussions about the denomination you're attached to should probably remain between believers, unless specifically asked by someone who's been converted and is now looking for a church. Even then, letting the Holy Spirit lead should be emphasized.Lately, (and I don't know exactly why), I've had quite a few Jehova's Witnesses come to my house, and some are willing to stay and talk to me even when they discover I love Jesus. I don't believe I've ever mentioned what church I go to when we talked-- it's just not as important as sharing Christ, which is what they really need to hear.Off soapbox now. :-) Andrea
