You know I have been thinking.
First, I was thinking about the revival in the underground Church in China.
Then as I was studying it some I have heard here and there that some from the revival there have planted Churches over here.
For instance Watchman Nee, Witness Lee and the "Local Church" I think, and then Stephen Kaung which I don't know the name of the fellowship and I believe a few other brothers.
However, I have heard a little of schisms and am wondering about the correctness of it all.
I have seen that there are a couple "local Churches" where I am from.
I have also just in general noticed general Chinese Churches that are in some ways connected though not sure how specifically though I am interested.
This also got me thinking about whether or not there were other Churches from internationally that had revival and trecked over here.
I know of a bunch of mainline denominations that I am no so impressed with and it really usually varies greatly from fellowship to fellowship. It is also hard to find other on fire Churches since they are often so random and outside of the immediate visible eye.
I was maybe wondering if T. Austin Sparks has a fellowship, or maybe some other godly men from the past that have left disciples. This has my wheels turning. Or maybe from some other international revival or Church that was under persecution in a restricted nation or something.
All of these thoughts are in question form and please share any info if you have it! Like what of the Local Churches from Lee? or what is Kaungs fellowship called? or were there other brother from China and any legacy in America? Are there any bad teaching or schism? Or a Church legacy from Spark or other past revival men that has not turned into an institution? Or revival from other countries?
I have thought of Gospel For Asia and Voice of the Martyrs, but they don't really have Churches here since they are mostly abroad and the people here I believe are mainly western bred admin people. FEED ME :).
Or maybe Yun, or Samuel Lamb or other have sent some to America?
I think that some Chinese come to the US to study theology because of the restrictions there and I recently saw a seminary that I believe did that. Maybe since money cant be sent there they come here instead and then go back. Those might be some interesting seminaries.
I always have to ask these types of questions because it seems hard to get information on past things and less mainstream things and some revival things as it seems I have to just keep digging and getting piece by piece.
