please pray.
thank you.
please pray.
thank you.
Be encouraged, dear sister. I'm praying for you, as I'm sure many others are as well. May this trial edify you and give you a greater understanding of Him, strengthen your faith, draw you closer to Him, and bring glory to our LORD Jesus Christ.
Dear Sister Holly,
Please take some time to do whatever you need to do to help you feel more at peace... maybe go for an early morning walk through a local park to pray, maybe write down your feelings and pray them through, or spend some time with good Christian friends, do some baking for someone, read the promises of God's love and faithfulness to comfort and restore in Scripture e.g: Lamentations 3:22-24, listen to some worship songs, the list is endless.
Sometimes it's hard when one is feeling very down to exert any thought or energy into feeling better, but believe me it will help if you do!
Lorijean's encouraging words are so true: You will come out of this stronger in your faith and nearer to Jesus, as you trust Him to see you through. You're an encouragement to me as I'm sure you are to others here, also. I'm praying.
Dear Holly,
Be aware that the evil one uses our 'down' times to prey on our doubts and fears. Resist him and his ways in Jesus name.
There is a prayer that is perfect for all occasions,
The "Jesus Prayer" http://www.jesusprayer.org/
(Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me, a sinner.)
We can not expect that by praying we will immediately 'feel' up. But, by faith, you can be assured that your prayer was heard by God. How wonderful to have God listen to the prayers of such as we. All through the power of the blood of His son, Jesus.
I say this prayer often, sometimes joyfully, sometimes in praise, and also in stress and need. Through all those times - He hears me. It is encouraging that He wants to hear from us. Some days that thought is all that keeps me going but it is more than enough.
Praying for you,

Holly,
If we have a heart that is devoted to Christ and we seek in sincerity to walk in His Spirit, to surrender fully to Him, and let Him have our life and use it for His glory, there are some painful things He has to bring us through.
He shows us our heart because He must destroy our confidence in our selves, and human strength and wisdom. That we're not nearly as much like Him as we think. When He exposes things in our hearts that are unlike Him, we can despair.
When God is taking us deeper in the Word, the devil recognizing the threat, will try to twist our perception of what God has shown us. The result can be a warfare of confusion, pain, anger, and uncertainty.
He also will withdraw from us an awareness of His Presence, and His nearness, so that we do not feel or sense or His Spirit near or in us. We can be left feeling dry, abandoned, backslid, even. Why would He do this? He hasn't left us. He's just withdrawn from us the awareness of His presence. He must teach us to walk by faith, and part of the crucifixion of our self will includes our feelings. We must learn to walk not on feelings, or experiences, but by faith.
Sometimes, we face great trials and discouragement, and we feel weary and at the end of our rope. He knows everything and allows nothing to come that He will not be our strength to handle. He wants you to look to Him, His Word, and His Spirit, not man, not the world, not your mom or best friend, or sister or brother, but to HIM. In these last days, God is preparing His people to stand based on HIS WORD not by feelings, not by sight, or hearing. The time will come when we must stand on His Word, and refuse to be overwhelmed by all around us. HE is our strong tower, our refuge. He's an ever present help because He knows there is an ever present evil that would destroy us. He loves you greatly and will not forsake you or fail you, beloved.
Will pray for you,
Kathleen
growingholly,
Please let us hear from you with an update. Must we continue praying or has there been a breakthrough?:)
Not only do I know that you are loved by God, I believe that there are real Christians somewhere near you that love you too, if you give them a chance.
I don't know how you might reach them, but God does. Pray right in the center of the dark cloud, and ask Him. "Lord Jesus, Please help me. I know I don't deserve it, but who does? Please rescue me from this cloud of death, and show yourself as my father. I need you, and I want you, and you wrote that You have never forsaken anyone who seeks you.
I am seeking you, and asking you for help. Could you also send me some friends who know you, and who could be with me as a sister?
I will hang on until you answer, for you Lord Jesus are the Way, and the only truth, and the only life that there is. I call upon you, I worship you alone, and I need you!"
.................................................................................................
We will pray with you until He comes. Please, though, keep in touch, so we might know of your state.
Growingholly,
Praying for you sister. Many are the dark nights of the soul for the saints. Here are a couple of pieces that I have written about just a few of these times in my own life. Hopefully you will be comforted by the comfort that I myself have been comforted with.

Praise Him, dear Holly, praise Him! Reflect upon His beauty, His light - the wonder of His touch. Tuck yourself under the wings of His love. Turn to the song within your heart and let it flow forth from your lips.
Tell Satan to "go away" because you have chosen this day Whom it is that you will serve.
Just adore Him Holly, like in the days of old.

All the other posts were good but I give yours 5 Stars.
Whatever our condition it is an occasion to Praise God. Thank you for pointing it out so clearly. You helped lift my spirits when I read your post.
