The header of the site has always been a large gif image of about 30k in size. This is one of the unique design features of the site where other sites would have a smaller header image. I have felt that this design style has been a good bold way of getting the message across and branding.Pictured above is the area affected by this change. Instead of having a larger facial image of the speaker that has the featured quote its just a small picture of the newsletter. This is following the same reasoning why the featured sermon image is not an image of the actual speaker but an generic image. I really sense a need to keep the attention on the message not the speaker. The SermonIndex logo has been expanded and cleaned up so that its very bold and distinct also. Here is an close up image of the changed text quote portion of the header. It's more distinct and bold. I would appreciate feedback on any of these new implimentations of the header and the reasoning behind it. I hope its not too big of a change. I still feel it really blends in with the site style and look.
