My heart was so heavy today

Greetings

I know this time of year(Halloween) is often brought up and debated over if it is right for Christians to take part or not. I know that there are differing views on this with some saying its fine and some saying its not. I don't really want to debate the right or wrong but I would like to share what I saw and just how sad it made me. I was at the mall and they were having a Halloween celebration going on. There were many children of all ages, all dressed up in scary customs. There was a huge variety of customs, from witches, to vampires, skeletons, zombies, ghost, the grim reaper and demons. I guess the theme was to come in a scary custom. I just kind of stood there and watched these young people, laughing and having a good time, some where dancing, other were talking and hanging out, and some where getting their faces painted with strange symbols on them. While I was watching them I just could not help but sense how this must grieve the heart of the Lord, all these young people celebrating and lifting up wicked things. I know that this was a worldly event that I happened upon and that sin and the celebration of death and evil has become common in today's world, but it just made me so sad to see such young children all dressed up like that. I think it must grieve the Lords heart terribly to see such young ones deceived into believing that things that are truly evil be made to seem harmless and fun. I stood there for just a little while and I prayed for the Lord to open up the hearts of those who are lost so that they might see their need for Jesus and repent before it is to late.

thank you for letting me share. I am praying that soon very soon we would see our deep need for Jesus in this country and cry out to Him.

God Bless

A sister in Christ shared something on this topic a while back and it has stuck with me. She said that things like this teach people to fear everything except God. May the one we fear be the Lord of Hosts.

With care in Christ...

1Ti 4:7-8 Have nothing to do with godless myths and old wives’ tales; rather, train yourself to be godly. For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come.

When the Lord impressed this upon my heart, He also caused me to realize that it is the parents that actually "teach" their children that this is a good thing by dressing them up before they even understand what is happening and then telling them how cute they are.

Many pieces fell into place on the day that I realized that Satan puts thoughts into our minds. Oh agony of agonies that we would do this to our own children - or rather, His children that have been entrusted unto us.

your deep affection for the kids is the WONDERFUL LOVE, that our showed on the cross, Even though His was and is abundant. All one can do is to pray and seek GOD's guidance, and speaking to the little as much as possible for them to have a deeper understanding of what they are doing. GOD be with us all as we WAIT for HIS Glorious return.
AMEN!

Shalom
