DAILY LIGHT - OCTOBER 24 EVENING

sermonindex Oct 24, 2009

When the poor and needy seek water, and there is none, and their tongue is parched with thirst, I the Lord will answer them.

There are many who say, “Who will show us some good?”— What has a man from all the toil and striving of heart with which he toils beneath the sun? For all his days are full of sorrow, and his work is a vexation. Even in the night his heart does not rest. . . . All is vanity and a striving after wind.—“They have forsaken me, the fountain of living waters, and hewed out cisterns for themselves, broken cisterns that can hold no water.”

“Whoever comes to me I will never cast out.”—“I will pour water on the thirsty land.”—“Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.”—O God, you are my God; earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you; my flesh faints for you, as in a dry and weary land where there is no water.
