I had a dream last night

Dreamed I saw 2 black dogs trying to get into our yard. We have two Lab/Chow mixes and they looked like our dogs.

When I got up, I was sitting in the living room looking out the window and I saw those two dogs I dreamed about going down the side street, along the edge of our place.

I prayed for God to reveal the meaning to me.

A few hours later my husband and I heard a terrible dog fight. It was next door. The neighbor's pit bull was about to kill one of the dogs. My husband went over the fence and I tossed him a bucket. He filled it at the neighbor's pump and tossed it on the dogs. It broke it up for a minute. Then they went back at it but the water must have cooled the attacker a bit as he let off enough for the other dog to get away. The neighbor's dog is fixed but she has some people staying with her and they have a big dog that is a female. I think she is the cause of the fight and the other dogs being around.

It was stressful seeing the fight. If we had not done something that dog would have been dead. Even though I had the dream about the dogs, I could not have stopped the fight from starting. There must be something to learn from this dream, I will consider it further.

Hi everyone.

Dear White_Stone,

One night I had a dream that I and some others had been betrayed by our fellow soliders/countrymen into the hands of an enemy. And after being captured we were being taken to a place to be held prisoner.

The dream was vivid, but especially the feelings that I had during the dream, of fear and uncertainty and so forth.

I woke up in the middle of the night after this dream and went straight to a place of prayer. I didn't think the dream was about me but I did feel to pray for those in other countries who were believers and being persecuted and imprisoned for their faith.

Because of how real the dream felt, it was much easier to pray earnestly for those who might be facing a similar situation, for real.

I remember before this, having felt it was difficult to pray for people in far away places that I could not see and did not know. But after the dream, it was not difficult to pray for them, at least for the moment.

It could be that God gives to us to take the part of others in our dreams as a means of stretching our hearts in order to pray for them.

With so many things in this spiritual life that are not natural for us, I'm learning to, somewhat like Mary, tuck these experiences away in my heart, and take note of them, so that I can better recognise the hand of God the next time that He moves.

We all desire to be able to follow His every move and to pick up on His every cue, even when they are not loud or even very noticable to us(1Ki 19:11-12).
