As some of you know I work at the Christian Family Store. I have been able to have the privlege of speaking to many christians their. one lady had asked me if she thought the nativity bag would be offensive at a party which was multicultural and i told her to be honest i would bring the bag to the party, we our suppose to be offensive and the truth is suppose to be if we our representing Christ the right way. I told her to bring it and proclaim the truth of Christ before everyone and then it was like something deep down inside of her came out and saw this passion for christ in her, it was like she needed to hear that from me or that she inwardly believed but was maybe nervous about spreading Christ. But it was really great to see the passion come out of her and i hope she does bring it because she did buy the bag. I also have run into customers asking me to find them something that is not to preachy for the person they our loking for, but i have a strong conviction that is the wrong way to go about it. I believe as psalm 14 and 53 and romans 3 confirms nobody wants God to start with and if we begin to give them something watered down and soft to hide the real truth we will be doing a diservice. So what many will be offended by the true gospel by true christianity but as Paul said the true gospel to salvation is the power of God. I have told the customers to not water it down because that is where the true power is. I am not trying to lift myself but i see this and i really don't think by giving a softer version or the cool cultural God is really going to get people to christ. May we proclaim the truth in its fullness not at all givin into our weak emotions and letting fear determine our actions in witnessing. For the spirit of the Lord is not of fear but of power, love and of a sound mind. Lets let God work through true Christianity not our version to lead people to Christ. I also would say that even this luring of people to Christ through christian rock is not the way to go, it is either the real way to god or no way. Your brother in Christ John
