Does the NIV call Lucifer Jesus?

Is there a difference in Bible Versions?

You be the judge;

The NIV Calls Lucifer----"Jesus"!!!!

1) Just about everybody knows the word [color=000000]"Lucifer"[/color] as another name for [color=000000]Satan.[/color]

The word "Lucifer" is found one time in the King James Bible:

(Isaiah 14:12)KJV
[color=990000]~~[b]~~How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations![/color][/b]

2) But what about the NIV, what does it say? The word "Lucifer" is gone and now this creature is identified as the "morning star". Christ is replaced with "Lucifer" as the "morning star" in the NIV.

NIV:
(Isaiah 14:12) NIV
[color=000000]~~[b]~~How you have fallen from heaven, O morning star, son of the dawn! You have been cast down to the earth, you who once laid low the nations![/color][/b]

3)So we know that in the NIV the "morning star" is a negative, evil figure. Right? He was fallen from heaven. He was cast down to the earth. Can we find the "morning star" anywhere else in the NIV? Yes! The following passages in the NIV show the "morning star" as Jesus Christ! But the NIV just called the fallen creature of Isaiah 14:12 "morning star". Lucifer AND Jesus are ONE in the NIV!

NIV: Revelation 22:16,
"I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you [1] this testimony for the churches.[color=000000]~~[b]~~ I am the Root and the Offspring of David, and the bright Morning Star." [/color][/b]

NIV: 2 Peter 1:19,
And we have the word of the prophets made more certain, and you will do well to pay attention to it, as to a light shining in a dark place, [color=000000]~~[b]~~until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts.[/color][/b]

NIV: Revelation 2:28--
[color=000000]~~[b]~~I will also give him the morning star.[/color][/b]

"They (Many Seminary Professors, and Liberals)" swear that there is not a dimes worth of difference between the King James Bible, with the Majority Text, passed down from the believing Church, and the newer versions. The NIV is one of the many newer versions. What do think about the NIV?

With deliberate errors like this, why would you want to rely on it for anything?

Isn't "lucifer" just the latin word for the planet Venus when it appears as the "morning star"?

Waltern, I say this with all respect, but give it a rest! We had a guy on here a number of years ago by the name of "Stever" who posted the same long "arguments" for the KJV only (which all appear to be cut and paste from the same websites), and engaged in almost no other discussion than KJV stuff.

Now, in regards to this post, the word Lucifer appears nowhere in the Hebrew scriptures. The Hebrew word, according to Strong's KJV concordance and lexicon, is heylel, which means "morning star". Lucifer was the Latin word the Romans used for this. So the KJV didn't even use manuscripts to translate this, but the Latin vulgate!

Further more, does not the KJV tell us that Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light, and that the anti-Christ sets himself upon a throne as Christ in order to deceive, and that there will be many other "Christs"?

There is the false and the true, with the false masquerading as much as possible, including taking the same names?

So, there are two reasons this is a silly, ignorant "argument": 1) the only straighforward and honest translation FROM HEBREW is something dealing with "morning star" (which is, of course, what Lucifer means anyway). 2) Context and interpretation of scripture points to "morning star" anyway.
