Brother, why don't you pray? Try visiting the churches. Eugene is a big place. There are good Christians there.
The most dangerous place to ask for advice is an Internet forum. Don't you have a real life out there, my brother? Talk to people. Pray! May God guide you to a praying, Bible-believing, truly loving fellowship or church.

SI is a place where one should be able to get encouragement, not be challenged at every turn...Could you do that?

I am sorry that I don't have any suggestions for you, but I do not how difficult it can be trying to find fellowship with others that truly love the Lord. I know that it can get discouraging, but just keep your eyes on the Lord and trust in Him. In His good and perfect time He will help you to find others to fellowship with:-)
