Dear brothers and sisters in Jesus, this is my first post. This site is truly a well for the thirsty...but I do realize that admiring the water will not quench my thirst...my admiration must move to application. I have to permit the Holy Spirit to help me apply the tremendous truths to my life, moment by moment, or I am like the man who looks in a mirror then walks away, forgetting what he looks like.
I'm not a preacher but wish to share some poems I believe the Lord has given me. My dilemma, is a fear of promoting myself rather than Christ. I would very much appreciate enlightenment regarding this. It is a constant battle for me. I have a long way to go but I'm growing in grace by His gace.
SAVE THAT WHICH COMES FROM GOD...
Save that which comes from God
Within man's hidden heart
There is no splendour there
But that which God imparts
The need is great therefore
That He must cleanse us still
Purge with Christ's precious holy blood
And with His Spirit fill
Until adorned by grace
Reflecting the divine
Furbish by faith each rough cut stone
We are not ours but Thine
Humility bedecked
Reflecting Holy Fire
Each lustrous gem a splendour bright
Desiring to rise higher
Fraught with the peace of God
For Christ we shall endure
Hidden behind His glory...veiled
Effulgently obscure
The table now is set
The feast already spread
He waits as we until the time
The Revelation's read
Save that which comes from God
There is no splendour there
Dare we approach His Holy Throne
Without repentant prayer?
