How Can I Know That I've Really Let Go?

A thought from this morning...This is how i know that i have let go and given God control of my life, surrendered my life into His Will for me: That i am THANKFUL in every difficult or challenging circumstance that i find myself in. The only time that i am not thankful to Him is if i am battling with Him over what is fair or what my desire is. Our lack of worship and gratitude in every circumstance shows that we have “a better idea” and have not surrendered, while our joy and thankfulness in every situation shows that we have let Him be God, and have put all into His hands for His guidance and His keeping. Let me say again the first thought for your prayer and meditation before Him: This is how i know that i have let go and given God control of my life, surrendered my life into His Will for me: That i am THANKFUL in every difficult or challenging circumstance that i find myself in. This a real challenge for me but one that I really want to learn to walk in. To look to Him and be thankful no matter what the circumstances. The Lord has been really working on my attitudes and heart lately, showing me areas of myself that are not of Him. There is still much that I need to die to.

God Bless

This is really good...but HOW did you let go? I'm holding on to something right now that I just can't surrender.

The answer to the question is found in this; Hebrews 12:2
Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

The answer is not in doing but in looking. God bless you.

I do think it has to do with keeping on eyes on the Lord. He needs to be our focus in every moment of our lives. I think that for me what I am seeing is the more I look to Him, the more of Himself He reveals to me. Its not about looking at or focusing on whats happening around me, its about keeping my eyes fixed on Him only and nothing else.

God bless

Amen, maryjane it is like texting and driving. It is dangerous to look away.
