look at Gethsemane

What was this agony in the garden? Jesus was a man and he was God. You can see both here. You can see God-- Matt.26:31-35. take a look at v.32 I will be risen again. how could he say that? Look at Ps.22:1 My God my God why hast thou forsaken me. Yet he says to the disciples I will be risen again.

As God he says Peter you will deny me 3 times. (remember at the well he told the woman at Samaria you have many husbands). look at these 3 verses Matt.26:39 v.42 v.44 Jesus prayed 3 times in Gethsemane. what did he say to Peter in v.34 You will deny me 3 times.

Jesus total intersession was a identification with Peter. That both he and Peter would be delivered from temptation. To do the will of the father was what he prayed, remember when he says to Peter I have prayed for thee that your faith faileth not? Lk.22:32.

If Peter and the others had not been sleeping they would have prayed with him, both for Jesus and Peter. --God help us to be better praying people. In Ps. 22:24 just like with Peter who agonised after he had denied him 3 times, Jesus had agonised in the garden and on the cross. For Peter and for all mankind. Isa.53:12. When you have the Holy Spirit he will show you many wonderful things. Jesus in us makes a good preacher.

I may add, Jesus showed something here. Peter when he heard the cock crow, and knew he denied Jesus 3 times, went through the agony of knowing that Jesus was real and that he had denied him.

I have reason to add he didn't go into holy laughter. Jesus didn't go into holy laughter when he agonised for Peter and that he would identify with him in the agony, of overcoming temptation. Then Jesus would go through the agony, not holy laughter, to take our punishment for sin on the cross. Notice I put laughter 3 times.

There are two messages here. one is the agony Jesus went through for us. and how he prayed for you and me also. Isa.53:12.

Also the other message is that we will find ourselves in travail, strong crying and tears that we will be putting flesh to the death, because of it's sin and passions to gratify the flesh, Gal.2:20 if we are going to the cross with it's agony and pain to crucify self, so Jesus can live through us, we will not be caught up in a flesh gratify movement to laugh and make us happy. nothing wrong with the joy of the Lord, the devils -- temptation is to take every truth of God out of balance.

Sarah laughed because she was shocked that she wasa able to have a baby being 99 yearsa old. if it was holy laughter she would not have lied and said I didn't laugh. amen?? Jesus continues to pray for us Heb.7: that our faith fail not,we travail by the Holy Spirit that we may be given sufficient grace to make it. and overcome the temptation to get caught up in some fleshly movement. Only Jesus can satisfy, love brodav9.

The Lord Jesus has given me the opportunity to show you that he spoke to me. after posting this message he began to tell me, to repeat it over in my mind about the Gethsemane thing. Then he dropped the Lord's prayer in my heart. He said , say that prayer. Our father which art in heaven. hallowed be thy name. Matt. 26:53 read it --he can pray to the father for angels. note he prayed at Gethsemane to the father. Matt.26:39

thy will be done--also 26:39
on earth as it is in heaven. Only way is through the cross. Matt.26:29

give us this day our daily bread. I said Lord this doesn't fit. I thought about it for a while then he pointed to Matt. 4:4 Man doesn't live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.
Jesus was showing this to us constantly in Matt.26. Jesus says The Shepherd will be smitten and the sheep will scatter.
Peter will deny me 3 times
Judas will betray me
I can call angels
let us pray and not enter temptation.
only they who have the Spirit can see this, that the bread of God is the words that came out of the mouth of Jesus. It was the same about the woman at the well. Jesus had the Holy Spirit. By the Holy Spirit he served the father, for he said I can do nothing of myself unless the father show it to me, --by the Spirit. remember Jesus is God and man.

so we see the daily bread is not food, but the Spirit who we have to have to show us God's will each day like he did in Mt.26 to Jesus.

forgive us our trespasses even as we forgive those who trespass against us. Lk.22:31-34 Jesus prayed for Peter and forgave him.

Matt.26:41 lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil.

Matt.26:64 thine is the kingdom and the power. Jesus will be sitting on the right hand of the father who is the power.

Jn.14:17 the Spirit of truth shall be in you.
Jn.14:26 the same chapter-- the comforter the Holy Spirit will teach you all things. notice you have the Holy Spirit--the father--in my name is Jesus, this is the trinity.

Jn.14:17 with you when you get saved, in you when you get baptism of the Holy Spirit, see Acts 19:1-2 the first verse shows they were born again disciples. the second verse shows they had the salvation and the Holy Spirit was with them. then he will be in them if they receive the Holy Ghost. seev.3-5 they had Jn. baptism. v.6 shows when they got this new baptism they spake in tongues.

I have had this marvelous gift and he has been my own personal teacher for 35 years. I have learned alot. He causes me to see all the secrets of the scriptures.

while studying Moses, I was blessed to see a hidden blessing. If I didn't give a blessing I wouldn't be loving.
I said all that to show my motive.

In Ex.24: we have here a pattern. starting with v.12 Moses is to go up the mount with a command to do God's will. and that was to receive God's will for the people. the parrelel Jesus is to go up the mount to Gethsemane. why?? to pray to his father thy will be done.

v.13 Moses takes Joshua his minister with him. the parrelel, Jesus takes Peter, and notice he only says 2 sons of Zebedee. instead of their names.James and John.Matt.26:37 So his minister Peter gets all the attention.

Ex.24:14 Moses tells the rest to tarry here. Matt. 26:38 both passages have the word tarry.

The Matt. 26: and Ex.24: chapters are obvious parrelels. But why are they there?? The Holy Spirit promises he will teach us all things. Here is the reason. Deut.18:15 Moses is foretelling that a Prophet is coming like him. He will be Jesus.

Jesus on the mount towards Gethsemane, was a exact copy of Moses on the mount getting the 10 Commandments-- which was the will of God. The law was a school master to bring to Christ. Gal.3:25 Jesus came to do the will of God no longer would we need the schoolmaster of the law, now we have the Christ. Now we have the laws of the Spirit. The law of sin and death, said obey all the laws or die. Rom.8:2 Jesus came and took the Moses covenant and obeyed it for us, because we weren't able to do all of it. If you offend in one point you shall die. Gal.3:10. Jesus fulfilled all of it, then we were delivered from that curse of death-- we have eternal life. death is swallowed up in victory. If we be buried with him --through baptism, we identify with his death. That is why we shall never die but be ressurected and live forever. If the law is fulfilled for us by Jesus. He took our place on the cross, we should have went to the cross but he took our place.

That is how if we broke any law --any sin-- we were forgiven. If you are forgiven you cannot be punished for breaking God's law. The Jesus and Moses parrelel show us Jesus performs God's new will in order that his first will must cease. God doesn't want us to abuse his grace so he shows that we fulfil the law which was good--we just couldn't keep it. But we can, the law of the Spirit. faith worketh by love. faith is how we keep the law.

Mark 12:33-34 also Matt.22:37-39 we fulfill all the law and the prophets by love. Gal.5:6 faith worketh by love., by faith we fulfil the law. So we see that by love action and faith believing Jesus finished work. we fulfilled the law. The new testament is the new will . will and testament are the same thing. Moses was the old will, testament. we have wonderful grace.
