MUST WATCH: Persecution In India: Francis Chan Response

My church is currently involved in supporting the Voice of the Martyr's. Every last Wednesday of the month we give updates of ongoing persecution around the world. I'm going to show this video to my church. God help us to pray for these people!!

Thank you Greg, my heart is so torn by this What has the American Church DONE and how foolish and relaxed as she become. I can't stop crying after watching this. I will pray for my brothers and sisters in India. American Christian think they are real radical because they wear a tshirt that says a catchy slogan but these are the true radicals and I now see how cowardly I am may I repent of my cowardise. Thank you again.

"I have given them your Word, and the world has hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. I do not ask that you take them out of the world, but to keep them from the evil one." John 17:14&15

I had a friend who had posted this on another website yesterday and my only response was Revelation 6:10, "And they cried out with a loud voice saying, 'How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?'"

Even though these believers have been counted worthy to suffer, and I have nothing but shame to trade for their honor, the sight of such terror and spiritual bile is a wretched thing to behold. The vengeance of Christ against such a world is going to be staggering when it comes. But may Christ grant these people the strength and power of the Spirit to withstand such brutality.

Please pray for these people, heed Francis' exhortation...

Acts 4:24 And when they heard that, they lifted up their voice to God with one accord, and said, Lord, thou art God, which hast made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all that in them is:
25 Who by the mouth of thy servant David hast said, Why did the heathen rage, and the people imagine vain things?
26 The kings of the earth stood up, and the rulers were gathered together against the Lord, and against his Christ.
27 For of a truth against thy holy child Jesus, whom thou hast anointed, both Herod, and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles, and the people of Israel, were gathered together,
28 For to do whatsoever thy hand and thy counsel determined before to be done.
29 And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word,
30 By stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus.
31 And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.

Up our way it's common practice for the church leaders to take their youth groups to go down to Mexico like that, combining "a ministry trip" with an exciting adventure. Every time I hear of another one along that line, I cringe inside and wonder how long it's going to be before I am reading in the local paper about some shocking violence having taken place.

These days all involved in this kind of thing-- including the youth-- ought to be advised to make their wills before they set out. I'm not saying people shouldn't go for fear of something awful happening. It's just that making a will might encourage everyone involved to make sure going is the will of God for them... or not. It would discourage the insincere. And those who were sure of being in His will... the prospect of losing their life wouldn't turn them from going.

These are my heros. This is what I aspire to be. I think perhaps the Lord is trying to prepare us so that we might be counted worthy to share that same honor.

We can be counted worthy to share in His sufferings here in America!

Though America is not yet suffering much physical persecution, we are able to glorify the Lord tremendously by dying daily as Paul says He has done. We must have a spirit of martydom, not waiting to be physically persecuted! What really counts is not that you die physically by martydom, but your dead to SELF daily, allowing Jesus to truly be LORD of your Life no matter what! The cost of True Discipleship is for everyone. And American Christians can partake in sufferings, but many will not. So, I do believe something terrible has to happen in America to get Christians to count the Cost. But, I pray that the Saints here don't wait for some disaster to happen to get serious with Jesus. I pray that they will learn to please Him now.

Saints, we can glorify the Lord here in Amercia and partake the same suffering as Jesus. Take up your cross!

I often forget how much devotion it takes to keep myself pure in this nation, and that it is a willful death to self when we deny all the temptations of this Babylon.

If these dear saints were to live here, would the lusts of the flesh be something they could not bear? I believe that I had mentioned in another post elsewhere, that Art Katz had addressed this issue to some foreign pastors that were beginning to prosper after experiencing poverty. He asked them if this newly found "ease" might affect their devotion to Christ Jesus.

Reguardless, I do believe the only way others will make that sure decision is by a genuine persecution here. I am also convinced He will keep us, because it isn't His desire that His children would fall. He is a faithful Creator.

I use to live in the poor area of India. And it was much easier to die to self there than America. America has so much more temptation and pride that it does take more devotion to Christ to gaurd ourselves from all the lust here. I find that I have to put away things that are not necessarily sin so that it is not an open door to sin. I know my flesh is weak so I know that I need not only to abide in Him, but also to puposely take things out of my life that I know can weaken me and draw me back to entertaining the flesh. Paul Washer has shared a similiar testimony on how easier it is to be a missionary in poor countries than in America.

It is a great cost/suffering and love to God to be able to die to Self in America! Its no little thing, thats for sure. But, WOW, when you do die, you find that the Lord multiplies grace to help you continue on to glorifing Him!

Certainly not saying we should not feel for the physically persecuted Saints. They are our brethren and we should always be one with them in prayer, in chains, and supporting them in any way that will help them to go on with the Lord.

Thankyou MyFirstLove for your kind words. It is not easy to keeping ourselves pure, and often, like on day like today, I hear the enemy mocking me when I suffer physically. He chides you and suggests that God enjoys watching you experience your afflictions and thus makes temptations all the more appealing!

I do you also to tell others about this experience overseas. It is enlightening to say the least.

God bless you and keep you sanctified here in this place. May you be used mightily to bear witness of His salvation. May we all bear witness!
