not new but hi!

sermonindex Mar 5, 2010

I am going through a really tough time. I am in a tight corner and cannot see a way out - my circumstances are overwhelming me and feel like I cannot take any more. I have been here before and it was just before a time of great blessing but this time - it seems impossible. Please pray for me.

May God give you the strength and blessing to overcome.

"The will of God will never lead you where the grace of God cannot keep you."

krautfrau,

My good friend went into business with this other person and things started to slowly fall aprart and he began to drag her business down too. Really, barring God striking this person dead we could NOT see any feasible way out for my friend b/c of all the circumstances and ties they had.

Well that was 8 months ago; today, he is no longer associated with her business in any way, shape or form AND it was all "his" idea to separate!! But we know THAT was God!

There is one video on SI of Corrie Ten Boom and in it she is describing to Pat Robinson what God did for her and Pat got all excited about what God did.... Corrie looks at him and at the audience and says, "We mustn't be TOO surprised when God performs miracles."

LOL I created a poster for my friend and put that saying right next to her monitor where she could look at it every single day!

I know you cannot see around the corner of what is happening in your life but God is working for you not against you... don't be too surprised when you get past it all and can finally see what God has done!!

God bless you!
Lisa

I am lifting you up in prayer. I would just add if you are walking in obedience to God's will for your life you can be assured He will undertake at just the right time for you. If you aren't walking in all the known will of God, that will cause everything to be out of wack.

I am praying peace, resolution and wisdom for you.

God bless and peace to your house.

Welcome my friend. I am praying for you.

Goldminer, I normally agree with you and I think I do on this too but please know that I could just be looking at this one statement from a different perspective than you and I mean no harm at all in responding to this post...

If you aren't walking in all the known will of God, that will cause everything to be out of wack.

".. in all the known will of God." That is a lot for anyone; according to that statement I don't know if I am truly walking "in all the known will of God" for me with all the trouble that has come my way that last 10 months. One comfort I found was in listening to a sermon by Zac Poonen, he questioned the Lord about why God didn't pave the way out of trouble so he could do God's will and the Lord told him that he had to grow in adversity and experience what others experienced (or he'd more or less become like what we think of - a spoiled child). I found comfort in that and have been trying to learn so that God can give to others when the time comes.

I also wanted (humbly) to submit Paul's writing in 2 Cor 11.24, 25,26,27:

Five times I received from the Jews the forty lashes minus one. Three times I was beaten with rods, once I was stoned, three times I was shipwrecked, I spent a night and a day in the open sea, I have been constantly on the move. I have been in danger from rivers, in danger from bandits, in danger from my own countrymen, in danger from Gentiles; in danger in the city, in danger in the country, in danger at sea; and in danger from false brothers. I have labored and toiled and have often gone without sleep; I have known hunger and thirst and have often gone without food; I have been cold and naked. Besides everything else, I face daily the pressure of my concern for all the churches.

After reading that, I'm thinking that Paul might have questioned whether he was walking in the known will of God for his life because of how out of whack everything was! If I got beat once, let alone five times, I know I'd be questioning!! LOL

Goldminer, I hope this was not taken the wrong way because it was not given that way... that one statement stuck out to me and all this came flooding (but not in a mean smart alecy way) and I did want to ask, "How are we to really know when we are walking in the known will of God?"

God bless you abundantly!!

Praying.

Don't try to figure it out, just scream out to God for help.

sermonindex Mar 5, 2010

Thanks so much for the prayers and words of encouragement. It is so true that trying to figure it out is not helpful. The worst thing for me is thinking that I got in this situation because I misread the will of God. It has brought about a great decline in my health - in fact I am fighting for my life.

At least that gives some comfort - that I was seeking the will of God - if not then I would not be driven mad by trying to work it out and would be backsliding and then it would be out of kilt because of that. No I am not a backslider. It has helped me to work that one out.

In the past, it would be what was going on me that was the problem ie that I had lost the feeling of the presence of God or going through a dark night of the soul, but this time I have been squeezed into an impossible situation, alone in a foreign country, on the point of having to hand over a large sum of my rapidly dwindling savings which I am living on, for health care that I cannot access due to chemical sesitivity, and finding that all who I thought were friends have turned away including my family. So I am alone in life now in the final stages of Lyme Disease and not well enough to return to my own country where at least I could access services.

Well its a big one for God to sort out.

Thanks again.

Sorry if I wasn't clear enough on my "known will of God" comment. I am saying when you know God has told you something and you are disobedient things get out of wack. I wasn't refering to all the totality of the known will of God. Just what He speaks to us individually.

Also there is a big difference in going through trials for disobedience than there is for suffering for His name sake.

Lysa I think in this life the fact that we are not going through persecutions is an indication we are not living up to the level He has called us to. We are not above our Master and if the hated Him they will hate us also.

As far as knowing His will. We are only responsible to obey the things He has revealed to us. We know to love the Lord our God with all our heart, soul and might and our neighbor as ourselves. We can't be disobedient to what we don't know. But if we have heard His voice we need to obey.

Goldminer Mar 6, 2010

Now that we know you need healing we can be praying for that. I will also pray for peace and provision for you. God bless you and keep you.

Lysa

I don't agree with DP and for proof I say look at Timothy who had stomach problems and was told by Paul to take a natural remedy and was not told to pray for healing, and for Paul too who had eye-sight problems. And many many saints who were very powerful in the kingdom but suffered terrible sicknesses.

I did believe this gospel once for a time but did my own Bible study after I failed to be healed in spite of great faith and found it was the soul that is to be healed so that we can walk in holiness. Physical illness does not stop us being holy. We must put up with the effects of the fall but understand too that a lot of illness is caused through eating a typical western diet and I object to those who say they got healed and continue to abuse their bodies like this instead of obeying the natural laws on food that is, organic and unprocessed, the way God made it and which you buy in the health shops that Prince scorns.

Besides I have been sick for a very long time and had countless prayers and annointing in oil.

DP also upset me when he was making fun of others, and the bit that got me the most was when he joked that if you go into a health food shop the people you see look sick. After spending years of buying health foods and looking sick, I found that remark insensitive and offensive.

I exclude things from my diet like gluten and have lab tests to show anti-bodies to it despite going to my GP and being told that the test he did was clear. I went instead to a private doctor but Prince would have had me obey my GP when they know nothing about nutrition and food intolerance.

Bro krautfrau,

I feel there are possibly unfounded accusations toward Bro. Prince; not that I knew him personally but I’d like to address this if that is ok with you!

I did believe this gospel once for a time

I’m not sure what you are talking about here... what gospel are you referring too?

....organic and unprocessed, the way God made it and which you buy in the health shops that Prince scorns.

DP also upset me when he was making fun of others, and the bit that got me the most was when he joked that if you go into a health food shop the people you see look sick. After spending years of buying health foods and looking sick, I found that remark insensitive and offensive.

I went instead to a private doctor but Prince would have had me obey my GP when they know nothing about nutrition and food intolerance

Brother, I listen to Bro. Prince a LOT and I have never ONCE heard him (1) make fun of other people (I’ve always thought he was one of the most humblest men I’ve ever heard), (2) scorn the natural way to eat or private doctors; (3) No, on the contrary; he was sick unto death for about a year and the Lord showed him how he had abused his body by the things he ate and how often he ate....
So I humbly ask you for the references (sermons) for what you have addressed.

I don't agree with DP and for proof I say look at Timothy who had stomach problems and was told by Paul to take a natural remedy and was not told to pray for healing, and for Paul too who had eye-sight problems. And many many saints who were very powerful in the kingdom but suffered terrible sicknesses.

Everything you stated above is in the Bible and I would not dare to refute it EXCEPT possibly the interpretation of it... I’d kindly like to point out that nowhere in the Word does it say that these people were more holy or had greater faith BECAUSE of their sicknesses. Also the Word does not say they died with these illnesses either.

I’m not saying we don’t get sick unto death; brother I know you are sick and disabled from this Lyme disease. I’ve had several Christian friends that have had cancer, some has died but others were healed; doctors like to call it remission but they are healed!

God bless you brother and it is not my intention to challenge you personally; I know you heard what you heard but I’d like to hear it too, if that’s ok!

God bless you again,

Dear Lysa

First of all, I am not a man. I use the username krautfrau
meaning ;

kraut - cabbage
frau - woman

and thought that the two German words were well known but I was wrong and so apologise.

I listened to the links you gave and on a number of occasions, Prince had his audience laughing about something or other concerning people beliefs like the sick ones in the health food store. He refused to accept any dietary therapy and claimed that scripture says that all things are for our benefit, and this is despite evidence to the contrary that people have anti-bodies to certain foods, and he is showing his ignorance as for example wheat has been so modified that it barely compares with ancient species and has become a major allergen.

I am afraid that saying that death is ultimate healing is a cop out and is not scriptural as it says that death is mans enemy.

If the apostle Paul did not have enough faith to heal his eyes then we have no chance.

I do appreciate your desire to help me though but please not with this gospel that damages many people. I have never said that sickness is good - it is not God's will for us to be sick but is one of the things that we have to tolerate in this world the same way in which we suffer for others sins.

blessings

I just wanted to let those who have been praying for me know that I have had a breakthrough and God has given me light regarding my situation which has strengthened me a great deal. Many thanks.
