I really like the picture this painted for me of the qualities of character that God calls us to walk in. Put them on daily just like I would a top or a skirt.Dress myself in the manner that the Lord has chosen for me, it is pleasing to Him, and above all else wear love, amazingly its fits all who profess His name!
As I was reading this I was thinking that just as God has chosen those qualities for us that He desires for us to dress in, there are many that He wishes for us to throw away: Anger, hypocrisy, bitterness, un-forgiveness, pride, laziness, meanness, resentment, hardness of heart, uncaring, selfishness...I was thinking its been awhile since I have prayed and asked God to help me clean out my closet, some of these items from my old self are still hanging there. Time to fully surrender my wardrobe and allow God to dress me daily!
