PS91 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
God strongly laid upon my heart verse 1 of psalm 91, the secret place. This is the place where we meet with God every day. Just you and God. There he shares his mysteries with you, gives you insight and revelation. This is where you eat the secret manna from revelation 2:17. This is where you acquire the midnight oil in Matthew 24:4. This is the place where David enquired of the Lord before he succeeded in his battles. This is where Isaiah had the vision of the Lord exalted on high. This is where Daniel excelled in excellency. This is where he got the vision for the end.
How much worth is this place for you? Only if you dwell in the secret place can you apply the rest of the psalm to your life.
This place is actively to be pursued. This is our dwelling place, our real abode, our heavenly address. If you got only very little time to spare for God, you forfeit all of the promises hereafter. No wonder that our lives are dull and eventless. No wonder we are of little use to him. No wonder that you only know him from afar. You are at best a spectator of the kingdom of God, but you are not an actor. You may just read and hear about other's testimonies, but it is not yours.
Come and meet him in the secret place.
