This question is out of curiosity, does anyone know who David Wilkerson was ordained by? How about C.J. Mahaney? Lastly, does anyone know of any well known ministers who started a work, such as pastoring, without ordination?
David Wilkerson was ordained by the Assemblies of God at one point. I don't know if he still is or not.
Leonard Ravenhill was never ordained with any denomination, and he pastored several churches. Art Katz was also not ordained, and he started a church. A lot of pastors within various non-denominational churches often lack any official ordination.

I think Dwight L. Moody was never ordained.
