Came back to Jesus about a half year ago.

Listening to Francis Chan and Paul Washer, I believe I am somehow trying to live my christian life through works even though their theology is correct, they believe salvation is a gift. I can't help but do this when I listen to those messages.

I feel I have to focus on grace again cause I'm burning out.

What's So Amazing About Grace? by Philip Yancy

This isn't really about Grace so much but something that help me put things into prespective is a Sermon by Paris Reidhead "Ten Shekels and a Shirt" it is by far one of the most impacting sermons I have ever listened to. I hope this helps

I would recommend "Ten Shekels and a Shirt" as well. It is an awesome teaching.

Sometimes we are so busy living "for Christ" that we forget we are to live "in Him"

Perhaps focusing on knowing God by His names as revealed in scripture would help.

This is the best sermon ever. Yes by nature, we humans are work-based and that's how we initially are as a christian.

Then most of the time, we turn christianity into pragamtism, liberalism and humanism.

We forget that all of this is for God's glory. Is there other must reads or a thread with a sticky and others that I need to hear for a beginner like me?

Also, if you like Paul Washer, you'll also love Steve Lawson. You can look him up online.

But let me caution you as a new believer, be careful about who you read, watch, listen to, etc. Pray for discernment as you seek the Lord and test all things with the Word. And be careful about getting caught up in reading a lot of things outside the Bible -as a new believer, your primary goal right now needs to be to become firmly grounded in the Word of God. Spend more time in the Bible than listening to or reading anything else. Let it be your companion, your best friend, your daily bread, your refuge in time of temptation, and your meat and drink, your sword and sheild. SOAK yourself in that holy book, and pray and labor in prayer and study over every chapter, and you will come out with a revelation of grace such as no man can teach you.
