surrendering to God

I have tried to surrender to Christ and am having the hardest time, please pray that the Lord fill me with grace to surrender to him.I have been trying to fully surrender for a long time.

Luke 11v13, "If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him"

He is our Father.
