President Bush's Faith?

Did anybody also notice last night in the debate Bush only refered to God in generic terms e.g. "The Almighty?" I never heard him name the Name of Christ. God seemed very distant from him, and he seemed horriably awkward talking about God. He almost sounded like a deist.

When both men were asked about the lifesytle of homosexuality, Kerry affirmed people are born that way. Bush said he didn't know. Bless you brother Greg, for pointing out a positive!i literally shouted a shout of triumph when President Bush said that! ... i know he can feel our prayers ... i know he can feel mine, because i feel him when i'm lifting him up before Jesus ...He's got to be doing something right (Godly) for so many heathens to hate him so ... i know the flak i'm catching from the few heathens on my job because of my (Evangelical) stand for Bush, i can only imagine what he feels when at least half of 293,000,000 Americans hate him, and it did my heart good at his acknowledgement that our prayers sustain him.

Keith Daniel in "Power of Prayer", warned not to judge Bush as a christian, as he has only been saved 7 years. He said "Don't judge him, pray for him."He also said they "you are the only country in the world where your president has openly confessed his faith in Christ". To me, confessing/denying christ isn't about "dropping His Name" at every opportunity, but "living His Name". Going around saying the Name of Christ all the time, to me, seems like your trying to convince everyone, rather than proving it by works. Just a thought anyway.

I'm not the President's Judge but his fruit is a bit rotten. See Bush RevealedI personally know the man who manages this site (we are ministering on the street together all this week) and his info is well documented. We must pray for our President but we can't believe that everyone who says that they are a Christian, truly is. The fruit is the true test, not mere words.

We must remember that both candidates, are, in fact, human beings. We can scrutinize all day long, but both will still make mistakes. If you're unhappy because Bush isn't perfect, you'll be unhappy no matter what. The election isn't between two ideologies or between two political parties. It's between two people. And that means that both choices will have downsides. It's up to you to decide which you like bettter, but Bush has fewer downsides in my opinion.

Greetings Saints,I have read the tragic things said and done by President Bush on the www.bushrevealed.com website, but never the less, since I don't know Mr. Bush, I don't know his fruit, unless he were to plainly confess his rejection of Jesus Christ. I know some of his work, but I don't truly know his fruit because I don't know him. When you have "big name" people like Billy Graham praying in the National Cathedral with a Muslim cleric after the 9/11 tragedy, who knows what type of water-downed, compromising Gospel Bush is being inundated with? I know President Bush is deceived, but is it willful, ignorant, or a little of both? I don't know, but as the Bible says and as others in this thread have so rightly reminded us, let us pray for our leaders, that the Gospel might go forth freely and the innocent protected, which brings me to my next issue: voting.I have been debating whether or not it is right for me (being a Christian) to vote. For awhile I took the stance that surely God does not want me voting for "the lesser of two evils," so I won't vote. Then I thought, "Maybe I need to vote for the POTENTIAL good that I can see coming forth from a politician." In the case of Bush, while I am very much against the war in Iraq, Bush has played a crucial role in ending partial birth abortion, preventing stem cell research, and taking a stand against homosexual marriages. Not only that, but it is probable that the next president will get to pick not one, not two, not three, but FOUR Supreme Court justices! As we have seen, the courts have and are now playing a major role in changing the laws of the land without the consent of the President or Congress (e.g. Ten Commandments removed from a government building, sodomy laws okayed, abortion legalized, etc.) and if homosexual sympathizer Kerry gets into office, what type of people will be appointed to the Supreme Court?In regards to same sex marriage, Proverbs 31:8-9 rings out to me:"Open thy mouth for the dumb in the cause of all such as are appointed to destruction. Open thy mouth, judge righteously, and plead the cause of the poor and needy (KJV)."Children who don’t know the right hand from the left, are clearly mute when it comes to speaking out and defending themselves against the evils of homosexuality. Think for a moment, if “closet” homosexual priests who claim to represent the Almighty have been revealed to have sexually abused many children, imagine what will happen to children who live and sleep with openly professing homosexuals and sodomites; the results will probably be nothing short of horrific! Never the less, does this mean my only choice is to vote for Bush? What about Michael Peroutka of the Constitution Party that I found out about on the BushRevealed web site ( http://www.repentamerica.com/peroutkainterview.html )? Do I not vote for him because it seems he doesn't stand a chance of winning the election and it would just be taking a vote away from Bush? Is this the way God thinks or does God say, "With me all things are possible?" If I vote for the man with the best policy and have faith in the Word of God that ultimately God raises up and brings down rulers, then why would I dare vote for President Bush over Mr. Peroutka? Its sad that chrisitans in America have the opportunity to make a change but they wont do it. At this point everyone voting for bush will be a good thing in my mind. What is distressing about politics is the lack of truth telling and the media in general presents everything like a puzzle to be put together, or a mystery to be solved.Then we have the 'church' leaning to heavy and getting caught up in all the rhetoric without pointing out the obvious flaws in their 'choice', the deductionary reasoning..They are not being honest either.Will stay away from the point-counter point as it just becomes a endless circle. But on the majority of the issues I cannot support his opponent, as was said elsewhere here, being pro-abortion is a non-starter.Think the idea of a biblical worldview is not that we subscribe to a particular party line or ideal, but which one more closely resembles and supports the values we hold to even in it's failures. In that sense I will tend toward the 'right', which just happens to be the Republican train of thought, but that doesn't make them 'right' nor do I have to buy everything they are selling...The reason someone like Mr. Peroutka will not get elected is because we are no longer a Christian society in the truest sense of the meaning. During the last debate one man acused the other of foolishness in regards to raising the debt ceiling of our government. I had been planning on voting for President Bush this election due to the probability of several Supreme Court justices being appointed under the next administration and the President’s apparent opposition to abortion and gay marriage, but the more research I have done, the more I realize I will not be able to vote for President Bush with a clear conscience. The more I think about it, the more I believe God wants me to vote for the person who appears the most honest, knowledgeable, and righteous and in comparison to the Presidential Candidate of the Constitution Party, Michael Anthony Peroutka, I do not think President Bush comes close. But if I vote for Mr. Peroutka, won’t I be taking a vote away from Bush? Yes, and I will do it with a clear conscience, believing that with God all things are possible and if God’s people in this nation would exercise their faith to a greater degree and place principle above pragmatism, God might show forth His mighty and merciful hand and cause Mr. Peroutka to be elected. While Mr. Peroutka is on the ballot here in Carroll County, MD, he is not on the ballot in all areas, which means you would have to do a “write in” vote in order to vote for him (see www.constitutionparty.com). I would appoint U.S. Attorneys – by recess appointment if necessary – who will secure the right to life of the unborn. Finally, to your question about sodomite marriage: There is no such thing, and no matter how many times people say there is, it doesn’t make it true. Sodomites need to be pitied and prayed for as well as protected from themselves by re-establishing the States’ laws forbidding such perversion. Don’t ever think that homosexuals don’t reproduce. Certainly it is not the United States government, nor even the State government. Most certainly, anti-Constitutional court decisions are not binding.You are right that Mr. Bush has sold out on those issues by supporting Mr. Specter, but that is not all that is wrong with this political prostitution by Mr. Bush. His pro-abortion, pro-sodomite, politics will become the acid test for those nominated to Federal judiciaries. This is a very dangerous endorsement by Mr. Bush. I read in the news that Peroutka was only a stand-in so the party could draft AL judge (removed) Roy Moore as their candidate.
