I just recently heard a really great song in Spanish about Depression:
Basta Ya, Depresion
(EDIT: when I posted the original link, I was in a hurry ... I didn't care for the pictures that it had ...)
I tried to do a hurried translation from a copy that I copied off the internet:
Why do you come close when I least expect you?
Why do you stay without having an invitation?
And make yourself owner of the hours of my dreams and you disturb me with having any compassion on me.
Why do you insist on robbing me of all the joy and you tear down all of my tranquility, you wound me and isolate me like a leper imprisoned in the jail of this horrible sickness … listen you ungraceful, I’m talking to you.
You arrive silently with the intention of abolishing my hopes my gladness, you squeeze my soul until you make me cry, you take advantage of any moment and you make me feel undeserving of the peace, the joy and the blessings that each day the Lord gives me.
That’s enough! You will respect this house! That’s enough! Don’t come into this home again! That’s enough! You have no part nor lot. Get out. You can no longer deal with my life. That’s enough of causing me so much anguish! That’s enough of afflicting my heart! That’s enough, I’m calling you by your name, and I rebuke you in the name of the Lord.
That’s enough! Get your suitcases together! That’s enough! God has heard this prayer. By the blood of Jesus you are conquered. I know that you called yourself … DEPRESSION, (and why do I say you called yourself?) because you don’t exist any more. You are out of my life! I want you to know that Jesus came and made me free.
DEPRESION.
That’s enough! You will respect this house! That’s enough! Don’t come into this home again! That’s enough! You have no part nor lot. Get out. You can no longer deal with my life. By the blood of Jesús you are conquered. I know that you called yourself DEPRESSION.
