I sat and I wondered what was inside of me,
Little did I know it was a beast waiting to be freed.
But indeed it was a beast and I found it was already free
Ready to cause my loved ones great misery.
Oh what grief fell on me when I noticed he was loose,
Recking havoc on my spirit an recking havoc on the truth.
I couldn't fight it nor knew what to do,
If only this beast would have stayed in its zoo.
Then One day as if I had seen a great light
Christ came in and helped me with my dreadful plight.
He took out a some nails and took up a cross
the beast and Him wrestled, my body it tossed.
Oh what Joy did I find
when the beast was defeated and Christ did reside.
Oh sweet victory I found that day with no lose,
My Victory Over Self is Christ and the Cross.
In times of frustation the beast rears its ugly head,
I am keeping him on the cross waiting for the day he is fully dead.
God Bless,
Matthew
