Wow. What an awesome man of God he is. To step out on faith is tough, but so rewarding. Praise God that Francis Chan is willing to listen and obey.
I am actually so blessed by his decision. I read one of the news articles concerning his giving of his assets, his convictions, and how hw felt about his own walk, and it seems he's really set of forsaking all.
I believe when he posted the videos of the Christian persecution in India, it was evident that he was highly convicted and troubled about "American" Christianity.
Some, the Lord will truly pull out of these enormous congregations and set as examples to the flocks. God bless him and keep him.

In the video he mentioned having a conviction about doing church in a different way. I wonder what he meant by that; makes me go hmmmmmm.

I encourage you to listen to Francis' sermon from a week or so ago called SURRENDER- his announcement to his church that he is leaving. It's incredible :)
