Join me in studying God's word

I would like to start a small group of men to study the Word of God together online. We could use SI as a "blog" to post our study of God's word or setup our own blog to share what God is teaching us in the Word.

This would not be a place to debate theology, but simply a place where we as men can "sharpen iron" and pray for one another. This would be for men only.

I was also thinking of a time to pray each week for revival and each other on Friday nights.

If anybody has the same desire or hunger, please contact me privately through SI.

Thanks.
Doug

One brother has expressed a desire to join an online study of God's word together. The door is still open.

Blessings,
Doug

God has placed the topical study of Prayer on my heart. I will begin to share what God is teaching me on this subject over the next few days. Please feel free to jump in anytime.

Have you asked Greg (sermonindex) to form this bible study here?

After all, the forums are a bible study within itself.

Start a thread in the forums with a topic in mind and go from there, otherwise, you will not be able to control the content of your threads. Besides, if the moderator feels that a thread should be locked it will be beyond your control. It's best to start your own free website with Google for example, and link that website in your "signature" so that interested parties can peruse your website. Several members already do this and SI provides that space in the account settings.

Hello brother Frank, I have been trying to join the weekly prayer time but I keep missing it because we have fellowship with church family on Tuesday's. How long does the prayer time run?

I have been also desiring a time of prayer on Friday nights with the saints.

I have not formally asked Greg.

After all, the forums are a bible study within itself.

Yes, while many of them are, many are not. My desire is to join with others who are looking for the basic study of God's word, not debate on doctrines of the church. While those debates are important, walking in the basic knowledge and displines of the Christian faith is a good discipline for all of us to walk in.

I started a blog on wordpress.

I pray that it would bring God all the glory.
I am new to using Wordpress blogs.

I will be posting a study on prayer soon.

Grace and peace,
Doug

brother Frank, beautiful time of prayer last night. I was listening in and praying along on the call.

I started a study on prayer. Jesus asked the question "How do we pray?" which has also been a question of mine as well. Look at the scripture's I posted and feel free to comment here or on the blog.
