He doesn't play around with how serious it is. There's so many things that we could do that could destroy our reputations without us even thinking about it, or being aware that they could.
He's right. You don't fast, pray, and get spiritual so that you can stand strong when you violate God's law by getting in a tempting situation, but you set your mind to run from the temptation because it's not a matter of if, but when, you fall once you're in.

I was reading scripture this morning.
1 Corinthians 6:18-20
18Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a man commits are outside his body, but he who sins sexually sins against his own body. 19Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body.
How would we treat a prostitue or a whore? We would avoid her and run as far away as we can. How do we treat our computers or laptops or sources of temptation that may cause us to fall into temptation or lust?? do we 'hang out' or flee/run?
We need to see our bodies as a temple of the Holy Spirit and when we 'hang out' with lust we will eventually fall and the presence of God will leave us.
I totally think this applies to women especially in their thought life. I know it sounds strange but there are times when I have seriously had to stop myself from getting caught up in fantasy and get my mind active and busy on other things. I don't resists the thoughts just like I don't hang out with guys and resist the temptations, I run from both situations. Although for most women I know its not lust so much as it is romantic thoughts, still they are just as dangerous and cause one to sin.
