I believe music has a great impact on the way a person develops their worldview. Ideally this book is written for someone who went to high school during the 90s, but accessible to anyone, this book seeks to take the influential ideas taught by music and use them to turn that person to Christ.
How did the pop rock and alternative music that dominated mainstream 90s’ youth culture deal with the issues of God, salvation, and sex? This question and many others are answered as the reader is guided on a journey of personal transformation.
The book begins by describing humanity’s desire for a savior then explains how necessary one is in regards to man’s sin. As the biggest songs of the decade are interpreted in spiritual light, the reader is led to examine man’s solutions to his problem before looking at God’s solution and continuing on to compare life with God’s healing salvation and life without it. Each emotional focal point presented finishes with a chapter detailing how to practically walk in God’s restoring power. The book finishes by encouraging the reader to share what they have been given.
