Yeah I did as well, We should definitely pray for the individual sending those messages.

Don't worry if you haven't heard of her, or from her.

But I replied to her pm, and I made it clear that I think it is a hoax.

She is someone who apparently sent out personal messages to many of us on this site (I received one as well). She is claiming to be a widow who is now dying and wants to pass on her money to those who will use it to further the work of God.....a remake of that famous Nigerian scam with a "Christian" theme.

True, we need to be in prayer for this person.

Well...one time we were offered lots of money from someone in Nigeria if we did ....

Some folks sure have a creative imagination. Now if this mental energy could be channeled in working for the LORD, what could be done?!

BTW, these Nigerian folks were so religious, had such a wonderful testimony, blah, blah, blah...SIGH

I'm sure most folks have received said 'Nigerian Scam' emails. From the few i've read, it takes a special kind of gullibility and avarice to fall for such silliness but then....

Let us be careful to not paint with a wide brush. I know lots of saints from that nation who really do have a wonderful testimony.

I told her that I was interested in praying for her and also using the money for building an Orphange or School, She advised me she will contact the bank in Europe and needed a fax number for me and a nominated bank account. She also typed very poor english and had many grammatical errors in the second message and if memory serves me correctly that is a sure tell of hoax/scammery. All in all I still plan on praying for this person, the Lord knows they need it.

I replied to her too. And now I realise it was a mistake to reply in the first place.

But, no more replies from me.
