Trying to Evangelise whilst on Holiday!

D

I always find it difficult to Evangelize in Portugal where my Grandma lives, as there are literally no churches and it is hard to get out on the streets when with Family!
The only church is an Anglican Church and that is dodgy

1 Peter 3:15 KJV
But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:

How do you evangelize when you do not know the language?
How do you even get a breakthrough in even trying to evangelize? How do you stay pure whilst on Holiday?
What others problems do you come across if you are trying to go on holiday and evangelize?

How about passing out tracts that is in the people's language with a web site address as a follow up. If the tract contains the Gospel and Scripture, it will not return void.

Just pray and ask the Lord to send you someone - and then just go about your business, keeping your heart and mind open to what He puts before you.

Just today He sent me someone as I sat by the river eating my yogurt . . .

How do you evangelize when you do not know the language?

You don't need to speak their language to help someone or feed someone. Maybe I'm wrong but the Kingdom of God should surpass the language barrier because of our 'works' by faith of a pure heart toward the widows and orphans. I would look there first.

How do you stay pure whilst on Holiday?

A dead man doesn't have to worry about staying pure whilst on holiday. There are some areas of my life, I am dead and buried and there are others I am alive to sin. do you understand? We need to get all the areas dead and buried.

The only set of directions I have for anyone are the ones I have for myself and that is to spend time in HIS presence MORE than I spend time ministering. I don't have this down pat but I am learning that this is it. Sin cannot stay in HIS presence. The fathers of old thought this was way more important than evangelizing. (edit: by that I mean some prayed up to 8 hours; in their flesh, they did not pray that long, that can only be done by the Spirit /edit)

That's just my two cents (opinion), God bless you,

I suggest the order of importance should be:
1. keep myself pure (continual examine myself in light of scripture)
2. evangelise (an outflow of a pure life)

Paul was clear about it in 2 Timothy 2:20-22

God bless and use us this holiday!!!

I believe you should rest in God and He will send opportunites to you to help others and to show His love. There are always opportunities to do soemthing good for others. The great commandment is to love one another and that is a universal language. Against such there is no law.
