Hipocrates and Blind Guides

When we presume to attack other peoples ministries do we(as expressed below in site moderator's request) pray and seek God on these subjects. Does not the word of God command us to talk to our brother or sister first before publicly slandering them. Do we approach with the loving yet firm hand of Christ and seek to talk to them? Did David slander Saul even though he could have (or even killed him)?

Brother and sisters let us spur one another on to good deeds, let us correct one another in love. If we post on this site we are merely gossipers and slanders, no different to the world. We all make mistakes and No Ravenhill, Spurgeon, Washer, Wilkerson Etc get it right. We are all on this journey as brothers and sisters, mothers & fathers. Let us cry out to God that He remove the Log from our eyes, let us rend our hearts and not our garments.

If a brother or sister goes astray, are we not commanded in meekness to restore them (Gal6:1). If I wanted to I could find fault with every man or woman of God who has preached a message since the bible was created. What happened to Noah's son when his son Ham exposed his nakedness to his brothers(Gen 9:20-27)? Heaven and earth will pass away but never the word of God.

God is a God of Honour, let us be right in His sight and remember you and I and other believers are not our enemies.

I have found this to be true that many would rather you say nothing and call that love then to speak truth which is a true demonstration of love in Christ for another. I have often thought that if I were walking down the train tracks and a speeding train was coming behind me and I was unaware of its presence I would want someone to yell at me to get off the tracks, yet when it comes to sin most Christians today don't want to know about the train and they don't care enough to call out to others either...How can allowing another to die in their sin because we are to afraid we might offend ever be considered a loving thing to do???

Thank you snufalalagus for this simple reminder that those who truly love are willing to yell out "Get off the track the train is coming!"

...It is indeed in meekness that we should try to restore them. In meekness that's it.

We have to recall that we are not fighting against flesh and blood. It is a hopeless case without the intervention of God, even our best words and persuasion will be useless.

Prayer, persistent prayer, prayer without ceasing, steadfast hope, with childlike faith, trusting in the faithfulness and goodness of God. This could go for hours, for days, for months, for years.

And suddenly it is realized that our prayers are granted, a deeply backslidden brother has repented, a sickness is healed, a lingering source of distress is resolved.
