Please pray for my husband and that we will know what Gods heart is for us. Please pray he will not loose his job we need a miracle. IF the Lord puts us on your heart please pray for us because things have never looked so very dark or unclear as they do right now.I know God is in control of this situation too.

God Bless

MaryJane

I will be praying for you.

I am passing along a quote from Warren Smith, who got involved in the New Age in his quest for spirituality. God finally got through to him and his wife and they are now serving the Lord with their lives:

Finally, after all we had been through, I was starting to see that the heart of the gospel is not so much that God helps those who help themselves but, rather, that God helps those who can’t help themselves. It was not in affirming our strength but in recognizing our weakness that we had finally learned to ask the Lord for help. It was His grace, not our self-sufficiency that had saved the day.

Thank you for your prayers. I wish I could say things were better but there not. They seem to have gone from bad to worse today. How does one pray when there life just seems to be crumbling before them :(

Mary Jane,

You just keep trusting the One who loves you more than you could ever fully understand, and Who has your best interests at heart always. You are going through a dark period that He will use to grow you and to bring glory to Himself.

I would encourage you to keep seeking Him and to ask Him what He wants you both to learn from this experience. Remember when Mary and Martha finally got to talk to Jesus after Lazarus had died? They told him that if He had been there, Lazarus would not have died. They knew that Jesus could heal the sick. As Henry Blackaby pointed out once, it was as if Jesus was telling them, "I know you know that I can heal the sick. I tarried so that I could show you that I can raise the dead".

Remember too, it's not necessarily the size of your faith, but the object of your faith. He can never fail. If He allows trials, it is for a reason and if we are walking in obedience to Him to the best of our ability, He will work it all together for good. Joy comes in the morning.

I'll be praying for you, dear sister. I think we've all been there. May God grow you both closer to Him through this difficulty, and may you learn a great deal more about His character and His purposes for you.

Today God has taken me up and down and around all the emotional roller coaster and its not over yet I know that. I don't know what the future holds and I am afraid of the unknown right now but I know God is here, I know He never leaves us and I know that even though I am totally undeserving of His love, He still loves me and my family. I don't know what tomorrow is going to look like but I trust God is in control and I am going to walk in faith in HIM!

God Bless and thank you

Mary Jane,

Our prayers are with you and your family.

See how great a love the Father has bestowed upon us, that we should be called children of God; and such we are... (I John 3:1) This is an important Scripture to remember when going through trial because it can be easy for us to think to God has forgotten us. We are secure in His love and all things that God brings/allows stem from His love for us.

My family and I have walked through unemployment a few times and can testify to God's faithfulness. It is absolutely amazing how He provides in ways unexpected; it will really strengthen your (family's) faith.

There are times, when in love, God brings various circumstances that test our faith and allow us to come to know Him in deeper ways than we ever imagined had we not gone through that trial. God does what He know He needs to do to speak to our hearts and draw us closer to Himself.

Although these trials are painful God brings them to pass for His glory and our good. And although it is a good time to search the soul (Psalm 139:23, 24), I would caution you that the enemy will come and attack with fear and guilt: telling you and yours that it is your fault, that you are a "bad" Christian, if you would just learn what God was teaching you the trial would pass, etc. Consider Hebrews 12 which tells us of how God disciplines us to share in His holiness; at the beginning of the chapter the author begins by speaking of Jesus and how He suffered and that was through no fault of His own.

May mercy, peace and love be multiplied to you (and yours) (Jude 2).

Please update us on the path that God takes your family so that we'll know how to pray for you and can rejoice in God's goodness.

Yours in Him,
Matthew

Beloved, you have my prayers this second.

fervent prayers. Just know this, you are not alone, either in Jesus, or in worldly circumstance.

we got stuff going on here too, family i mean, and i'm telling you MJ, i feel this calm assurance, and its NOT coming out of my own spirit.

sometimes when i get scared, really scared, i just breathe a simple prayer to God, "please be with me", y'know? Just leaning on Jesus, but i'm praying for you and yours, "just be with them Lord" in Jesus Name, amen.

Edited: I am thankful to God for all that He has done for my family and for me. I don't always understand why things happen or work out the way that they do but I know that if God be for me nothing can harm me. I also know that HE is in control and I trust in that. There are big changes about to come into my life and I will be honest and say some of them frighten me but I know that I have to learn to walk in faith in these things too. I am so thankful to those who felt led to pray. It always means a great deal to know there are others out there who love the Lord and are willing to pray for me even though we do not know each other. It reminds me of the bond that we share, the bond in Christ Jesus. I know that I have a hundred brothers and sisters and I am not alone, we walk together in HIM.

God has done so much for me more then I could ever say or express and I just give thanks and praise HIS name.
God Bless
