Wait for the Lord - Because HE longs to be Gracious to you!

These are some lovely verses that spoke to my heart about the LORD'S never ending love and Faithfulness to guide HIS children.

Isaiah 30:18.And therefore will the LORD wait, that he may be gracious unto you, and therefore will he be exalted, that he may have mercy upon you: for the LORD is a God of judgment: blessed are all they that wait for him.

Isaiah 30:19.For the people shall dwell in Zion at Jerusalem: thou shalt weep no more: he will be very gracious unto thee at the voice of thy cry; when he shall hear it, he will answer thee.

Isaiah 30:20.And though the Lord give you the bread of adversity, and the water of affliction, yet shall not thy teachers be removed into a corner any more, but thine eyes shall see thy teachers:

Isaiah 30:21.And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.

It is very nice in the Message translation too -
"But God's not finished.
He's waiting around to be gracious to you.
He's gathering strength to show mercy to you.
God takes the time to do everything right—everything.
Those who wait around for him are the lucky ones.
Oh yes, people of Zion, citizens of Jerusalem, your time of tears is over. Cry for help and you'll find it's grace and more grace.
The moment he hears, he'll answer. Just as the Master kept you alive during the hard times, he'll keep your teacher alive and present among you.
Your teacher(The Holy Spirit) will be right there, local and on the job, urging you on whenever you wander left or right: "This is the right road. Walk down this road." You'll scrap your expensive and fashionable god-images. You'll throw them in the trash as so much garbage, saying, "Good riddance!" "

The LORD is Passionately waiting to be Gracious to us;
then why should we not wait passionately for HIM to work in our lives for the BEST that the LORD has kept for us.

The LORD LOVES US WITH A PASSIONATE LOVE - Zephaniah 3:17
HE REJOICES OVER US WITH SHOUTS OF JOY.

Thanks for posting this Lydo. A good reminder to perservere in continual patience. Because the glory of the Lord is worth the wait!

I heard it once said that, waiting is one of the hardest things that a christian will ever have to experience. However, leaning to Him makes everything all the more sweeter!

Trusting in the Beloved One.

Amen!
Hi StarofGod,
I loved it-"The Glory of the LORD is worth the wait".

And those who wait for HIM, will never be put to shame.

Waiting upon the lord does not mean just waiting.. it also shows the trust, faith, hope.. etc...
Waiting becomes hard when the quality of faith reduces...

Let us wait upon Him with prayers... am sure He will answer...

And ofcourse... "The glory of the Lord is worth the wait."
