Does anyone know much about Oral Roberts?

This is some information found on an online encyclopedia:Oral Roberts (born January 24, 1918) is an American evangelist.He was born in Pontotoc County, Oklahoma.He left high school and his further education consists of about two years of college study undertaken at Bible schools in Oklahoma on a part-time basis. In 1938, he married a preacher's daughter, Evelyn Lutman Fahnestock. They expanded his preaching in tents to preaching on radio, and eventually on television, with a vast viewership.He founded Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1963, stating he was obeying a command from God. The first students entered the school in 1965.In 1980, Oral Roberts reported that he had a vision of a 900-foot-tall Jesus, who encouraged him to continue to build his City of Faith Medical and Research Center, which opened in 1981. The center later proved too costly to keep open and it closed in 1989.In March 1986, Oral Roberts claimed to have spoken directly to God, and was told that he would be "called home" (that is, die) if he was unable to raise $8 million by March 31, 1987. There was a great deal of hostile discussion and derision regarding this unusual (and arguably blasphemous) approach to ministry. After the deadline, having failed to die, he stated on April 1 that the money had been raised and his life had been spared.In June, 1987 Oral Roberts announced that he has raised the dead and will return after his own death to rule alongside Jesus Christ. His prophecies have been proven wrong time and time again. Sadly, he has deceived multitudes with his lying words and false promises, and has robbed God's people of hundreds of millions of dollars. And in spite of all the evidence which proves Roberts' hypocrisy, he is still regarded as a great Christian leader in charismatic circles and is still promoted as a man of God." ----Both of these are quite negative and critical of his ministry but there is somet truth in them. As far as I am concerned it is obvious that he has been used of God to some extent and has spread the gospel of Jesus Christ especially in his younger years where there were many healings in his meetings. Overall alot of his doctrinal teachings seemed to be abit off, alot of it being very far swung charismatic. But it also is quite obvious some of the things done in his ministry are clearly false and so far in left field its remarkable people funded these ventures.
