Outreach in Belfast, Northern Ireland

Just wanted to let you know about a large outreach event in Belfast this Lord's Day. It is at Ravenhill Rugby Ground in the city and Pastor James McConnell of the Whitewell Metropolitan Tabernacle will be preaching. It is hoped that 10-20 thousand people will attend the event and for anyone who is in Ireland you would be very welcome.

Belfast and Northern Ireland in general is a place with a rich heritage of Gospel preaching, but has seen a steady decline in faith over the last 50 years.

Amen to the other offered prayers. Lord I pray you move on the hearts of every person attending. I pray you would bring those who had no intention of attending, that they would be drawn by your Spirit. Soften hearts to ignite in fire for you. Bring revival and awakening to that land. Let all the speakers speak by the power of the anointing of the Holy Spirit. Let no man speak from his own flesh. Let God be glorified. Amen.

Well the event took place last night and despite light rain around 12,000 people showed up. This was a tremendous witness to the local community. There was a lovely sense of God's presence at the meeting and I can assure you that the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ was preached. When the net was thrown out hundreds indicated a desire to come to Christ. Our church will do its utmost to follow up on these people and try to lead them into a fuller understanding of our Lord and the work of the Cross.
