Just a quick post to give thanks the Lord for the way He is working in our church. In order to better reach the multi-ethnic community in which we're planted, the Lord has allowed us to have eight language congregations meeting for worship on our campus, in addition to the main (English speaking) congregation. We see ourselves as one church, with all the Pastors meeting regularly each week for prayer and encouragement (being a part of those meetings is a great blessing); occasionally we have a combined worship service with all 9 congregations meeting together, which we did tonight. Each Pastor leads a portion of the service - such as a time of prayer or Scripture reading, in English and also in his native language.
The congregations are: English, Spanish, Arabic, Vietnamese, Chinese, Korean, Ethiopian, Asian-Indian, and Bhutanese (these last two are Hindi-speaking). It's a small, but glorious, taste of what heaven will be like, with every tribe and tongue around the throne!
Praising God for His Goodness,
David
