How many distractions in this world keep us from focusing on Jesus?I have found that if our souls and not filled with Jesus and we are not drinking from the Living Water daily, we will look for something to fill that void elsewhere. And Satan has prepared so many things to try to satisfy our souls temporaririly from Him.There are so many different distractions in this world from keeping us from lookingto the Lord. Right?I have been noticing how easily it is for me personally to get my priorities in the lifeAs a Christian so mixed up.We recently had a Bible study at church about the discussion of Idols in our lives.I know I have a few “idols” that I look to for that source of strength, but I didn’t realizeHow many there are in our lives, really…How much noise do you have in your soul? Is your mind always thinking about the thinks of this world or the mind of Christ? Do you think about man’s souls going to hell orAbout how to pay your electric bill next month?Do we think that God will not take care of these small issues in our lives if we just focusOn the major tasks, like Seeking Him and doing the will of God for the few short yearsWe live on planet earth?I have been so convicted in my own life recently that my priorities are backwards. I haveBeen looking to the cares of this world instead of “Seeking first the Kingdom of God.”Where are you today? What are you thinking about?
