The Power of God

Hello and Blessings to all, I would like to share something that I have carried in the back of my bible. I do not know who wrote it but it is a wonder picture of the awesome God we serve. This will be written in two threads so as not to loose the effect. Enjoy and be blessed!!The Power of God (Proverbs 4:18)One day a little girl, Elizabeth by name, and her father were talking about God. On this particular day the father had something important to tell his little girl, and he began by asking her a question. He asked her if she knew what the power of God is. She could not answer her father.The next morning he took her down to the apple orchard. It was just beginning to be daylight. As they walked alon he said, "Dear, I want you to see an illunstration of God's power this morning. We are going to watch the sunrise."When they came to the apple orchard, which was in full bloom, they stopped and looked toward the east. Something very great was happening and the father's face was shiling with the lovely thoughts he was thinking and was going to tell her. So they stood still. The sky was getting full of red and yellow colors.

Part 2 The shadows were running away, and the pink and white blossoms could be seen all over the apple trees. The birds were beginning to sing And the house could be seen; the light was over the sky and over all the earth! It was everywhere!The the father said to her, "Daughter, the sunrise is like God's power. There is no noise, no pushing, no fighting, no destruction with it. It is so gentle that a blade of the orchard grass cannot be hurt by its touch and yet so mighty that nothing stops it. The light as it unfolds touches everything that you can see and much that you cannot see. Wherever it comes, the darkness goes. The dawning is so still, so beautiful, so sure, so near, as is the power of God.The child knew exactly what he meant. (annon)Everytime I read this I am flooded with scripture of God's goodness, mercy and love. What an awesome God we serve. I hope this encourages you as it has myself over the years.Am_Lovin_HIM
