Prayer conference call tonight(Tues 9th Nov) David Ford to lead out.

sermonindex Nov 9, 2010

Hi Saints,

Please join us tonight as we gather together to pray that the Lord would send His rain upon a dry and thirsty land. There has been much breaking down of the clods and ploughing ( prevailing prayer) and yet, that work only makes sense if it will indeed rain. One would be very foolish to partake of such ploughing if one did not believe that there is a rain coming, a soaking rain, a saturating rain, that will penetrate the deep dryness. As someone who now lives in Kansas, a place that only gets about 33 inches of rain a year, I know how dry the ground can become and how deep that dryness is. At first when it rains the rain merely flows over the top surface, its so hard it does not penetrate. Then it rains for several days and the ground becomes saturated, thouroughly penetrated, indeed to such an extent that it takes days or weeks to dry out. Flash floods come and go very quickly and when it is gone, it is like it has never rained because it never penetrated. Yet, when it rains consistantly for several days, the effects are deep and lasting.

Call in at 7pm Pacific time(8pm mountain time, 9pm central time or 10pm eastern time) The number is 218-339-2222 and when prompted enter 7729#.

Brother David Ford will lead out tonight. David was a speaker and worship leader at the Barnsdall conference last year. He was also worship leader in Wales and Victoria and will be leading a series of meetings that we are having in Barnsdall starting on the 14th Nov through the 19th.

Can everyone be kind enough to please mute your phones when on the prayer calls when not the person praying?

It is very distracting to the speaker with all the background noise.

Thanks Brothers and Sisters.

Thanks iceman. I ask every week :) Actually I just mute people. Tonight I muted everyone and then just let them unmute themselves, seemed to work. I was so blessed tonight, the Lord met us and what more could we ask? He is faithful and has been faithful to our little prayer group which has grown. David Ford, as always, was such a blessing. He is a personal frined as well as a dear brother in Christ and I am looking forward to next weekks series of meetings down in Barnsdall Oklahoma. If you live in the area, please come and join us as we seek the Lord to pour out His rain on a dry and thirsty land.......brother Frank

I listened to Brother Greg Gordon from a while back. His heart from God and the prayers touched my heart. And I listened to the latest one as well. I am so sorry I am not in Oklahoma but I will be praying the Holy Spirit will flood the whole area and beyond as I have a relative not far from there I have been praying for.

The Presence of God is in the calls. He is present. Mighty cries out to the Lord for souls and the Holy Spirit to go forth. I encourage everyone who does not listen in on Tues. nights to listen to the Tues. prayer calls when they are posted. You will be so blessed and challenged. Giving God all the glory.

Unless one is unaware that they have been muted.

Hi Heartsong

"Unless one is unaware that they have been muted."

I do tell people at the beginning of the call, and then after David was finished, I reminded people that they were probably muted. The problem is, with so many people on the line, just one person with bad background noise can ruin the whole call. It is quite hard for the speakers to share in this kind of forum and God bless them for doing it, yet even an " amen,' can through you off when your sharing on the call. Its really not a big deal to press star 1, no one can hear that little prompt " you are now muted," besides the person who pressed it. And likewise, when you want to pray after the person who leads out is finished, you simply press star 1 again. It actually works very well and the sound quality seems to better now that it was three years ago when I first joined, dont you think? .......brother Frank

Well, I guess if sound quality is the first priority, then it is working great. Not sure if *1 will work on my computer . . . I use the mute button on my headphones.

Hey Heartsong, being heard would be a priority :) LOL ..........brother Frank

Dear brother,
Here is something to consider. That which you are choosing to enhance could be used by the enemy to destroy. The determining factor would be whether this is something that the Lord instructed you to do, or if it is something that you decided to do based on what you determined to be the better path - for that which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. It is a weighty thing to be in control of the buttons.

Thank you for those thoughts to consider, there is no doubt that I am a weak vessel. Please pray that the Lord would work through me despite my weaknesses. God bless you Laura. May the Lord be glorified in this upcoming week and may our eyes be upn Jesus.........brother Frank
