Well, I got a couple teens in college. One send me an email of her personal bible study notes she on another teen done via Skype. I sent it to the other teen who had fallen away. This kid never called home, but after reading the notes she called at 4am screaming "I'm scared, saved me! I found Jesus!" Below is the notes and email that scared her straight.
Romans 1:16-20
I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile. For in the gospel a righteousness from God is revealed, a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.”
The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness, since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—His eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.
Well we are going to talk about those people who are around you: friends, classmates, and all those people you find yourself having a conversation with - even close relatives. In this case, it solely implies those who have not known Christ who are not fellowshipping with you in the same direction.
From Romans 1:16-20, it is clear that the Lord our God has made everything plain to us. From creation, God has made His qualities very vivid to mankind but people do not want to know - meaning they see these things and the presence of God clearly but they do not want to believe. Some find themselves very uncivilized to worship the Lord, others find themselves too busy, others are just lukewarm or ignoring. All of these reasons and others sum up to one word called DECEPTION. There is a MASSIVE DECEPTION at the moment. The Prophet of the Lord said that the WHITE HORSE HAS BEEN RELEASED. These people know that there is a God and they need repentance. They know they will go to hell if they don't repent. The friends around us know it also. But they cannot do it because they find themselves unable to. Some have no desire... what a terrible deception... they are just defiled that much. They cannot find the truth in what is true. They listen, and the next minute everything is gone (in one ear and out the other). The Word of the Lord cannot stay in them because of the warrior of the white horse(deception) fighting for the kingdom of Satan.
This is a critical dispensation. It is time to be more serious than ever before. It is time for the Lord of Heaven. It is time to seek the kingdom of God with diligence. It is time to seek holiness and the Holy Spirit to guide us in this deceptive time. My friend, there is no other way to enter the rapture. We should be absolutely flawless. Our prayers of repentance should come out of our hearts and mouths each and every second of our lives. Sometimes we sin and we do not even realize it! We need to ask the Lord each and every time to sanctify us - even of those sins which we are not aware of.
Our topic was how to handle those around you at this critical hour when it is only one minute to midnight..
Hebrews 4:12
For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.
Without the Holy Spirit at this deceptive time it is very dangerous.
Engaging in conversations with people in the name of fellowship without the Holy Spirit is one tool that Satan is using to trap people. We should be praying to God for purity of our thoughts even as we exchange these message in writing (it is that serious..this is a different time).
As you have read from the verse above, the Word of the Lord is that powerful and it is part of the amour of God as in Ephesians 6. This should be one of our war gear at this time.
Proverbs 10:19 - When words are many, sin is not absent, but he who holds his tongue is wise.
We should be short of speech and whenever our friends engage us in conversations that we do not know where they lead to we should answer back with scriptures.
By saying this I do not mean when someone asks you for a glass of water you answer back with a scripture.
When I say we should answer back with scriptures I mean each and every day we should pray that everyone we encounter on our way be transformed to know Christ through our interaction. This is like sending the Holy Spirit before us. So when we find ourselves speaking to people we know are not fellowshipping with us in the same direction, we should be extremely careful in what comes out of our mouths; we should minimize our conversations as much as possible and should not bring up topics that will keep us discussing issues and different things that will eventually lead us astray. the normal conversations like borrowing
Let's take, for example, you meet a friend as you walk to the library or even this very example – you and Monica in the room. Obviously, most of the time when you have nothing to do you will try and chat about different things to keep time moving. These conversations are normally very random and they keep switching from topic to topic. This is an ample time that the devil gets in, believe me, we shall never realize these times. Therefore, these are the communications that we should reduce completely. That is the first step. Then this issue of answering back with scriptures. Take, for example, the verse we read earlier from Romans 1:18. It speaks of how people know about God but they simply cannot worship Him. Remember, as well, Hebrews 4:12 which speaks of the nature of the Word of God.
Yes, the moment we realize our 'social' conversations with friends are going astray we should immediately stop and speak verses from the Bible that go against what we realize has gone wrong. Take, for example, if in your conversation to another you begin to speak lustfully to them you would say a verse rebuking sexual immorality.
Remember, we might not know when we are going astray. We might not discern when things are going wrong; we might just think things are going okay. Therefore, because of this we should limit our conversations with those around us to only ordinary, precise and straightforward ones (e.g. asking a question in class, borrowing a pen, asking a question from a friend, etc.).
This is some of the meaning of separating ourselves from the world. The Word of the Lord is not from the world. We should, therefore, move closer to it than anything else which means when we are not in those precise conversations (that is in class or any other precise conversation) we should be meditating or praying a prayer of purification in our hearts or speaking the Word of the Lord.
Precise conversations in this context means ordinary conversations which do not involve extensive topic to topic – it is either a question or answer with a point to note. These conversations should always be agreeable with the Lord.
Remember, faith in Jesus comes with knowledge, godliness, self-control, perseverance, brotherly kindness and love. (2 Peter 1:5-8)
By separating from the world we are trying to do what the above scripture says.
Be bold and serious. Do not be troubled by what others say. You are serving someone that cannot be compared to anyone in the whole universe.
Mark 8:38 -
“If anyone is ashamed of me and my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man will be ashamed of him when he comes in his Father's glory with the holy angels."
I was explaining how you we are supposed to handle our friends and those we spent time mostly at this point in time. The bottom line is to equip ourselves with the word of the lord and use as a weapon to attack different attempts of the devil to deceive us.The Holy Spirit will always lead us to know when this is happening and for now we are still very very vulnerable to deception because we are still very young spiritually and the solution is to this is to minimize 'social' interactions/conversations that will lead us astray thus giving way to deception.
Spent most of your time reading and equipping yourself with the word of the lord and surely all will be well and the lord will start ministering to you in a mighty way.Randy had a dream recently and Pastor Michael had the same dream and sure enough when he went to school it came to pass.Sexual sin is a very common and it is the one the devil is using to trap the youths.
Please read through this verses and relate to our discussion and they will help you to understand how to behave at this critical hour!
Hebrews 1,Romans 1(the one we read earlier on),Jude 1:23,Luke 13:22,Hebrews 6.
Pray each and every time in your heart(meaning sincerely) and know that if you do not have peace and feel that you are under pressure doing all these things you need to go before the lord and confess everything and ask for purity!
Don't hesitate to fellowship with people going in the same direction.I believe in the name of Jesus that i am heading to entering the rapture and any other person you know please contact.Shalom!
Is your teen seriously following Christ and would like to fellowship with these two on Skype? If yes, let me know.
