"Woe to me! Oh that I had not been such a fool".

When the moment arrives and we see the face of the Lord Jesus for the first time, we will know who we have been as surely as we will know who He is. As the shock subsides we will have time to reflect on "today". Like every man ever born, I will have regrets. Is this not why we encourage one another to serve Him with Great Boldness? As iron sharpens iron, so we prod and poke one another with holy words of encouragment. "Excuse me. Mind if I poke and prod you a bit"?

Wasted Years - Poem
I looked upon a farm one day,
That once I used to own;
The barn had fallen to the ground
The fields were overgrown
The house in which my children grew,
Where we had lived for years--
I turned to see it broken down,
And brushed aside the tears.
I looked upon my soul one day,
To find it too, had grown
With thorns and thistles everywhere
The seeds neglect had sown.
The years had passed while I had cared
For things of lesser worth;
The things of heaven I let go
While minding things on earth.
To Christ I turned with bitter tears,
And cried, "O Lord, forgive!
I haven't much time left for thee,
Not many years to live."
The wasted years forever gone,
The days I can't recall;
If I could live those days again,
I'd make him Lord of all.

As the preacher {Ecclesiastes} said;
"All is vanity and striving after the
wind; but to honor and follow and
serve GOD alone."

It is true that the vanity of man's accomplishments is indeed worthless. But it is also true that when Moses was told to go be a witness, he made excuses for himself. It was only after God relented and offered up Aaron as his mouth piece that Moses was willing to go. By the way, I don't blame Moses...... lol.... I wonder if I might not have done something similar.

We aren't privy to the conversations Moses and Aaron might have had regarding fear of going. But I'd wager there were more than a few on the way to Egypt. Jesus says "GO" and we look around to see who He is talking to. It's not possible for me to put aside the thought that sometimes there is a smile in heaven regarding our foolishness and reluctance. He is God! . . . . . . . . . . . "go".
