sea giving up

can anyone tell me the interp.of rev.20v13,the sea gave up the dead

It simply means those who died and whose bodies were buried in the sea will be delivered to God for judgement.

The passage in Rev 20: 11-15 speaks of the great White Throne Judgement.

i understand that,but at death the spirit can only go to one of two places.

Concerning where the spirit of man goes at death, let's look at scripture.

Eccles 3v21, 'Who knows the spirit of the sons of men, which goes upward...'

Eccles 12v7, 'The dust will return to the earth as it was, and the spirit will return to God who gave it.'

Also, as has been said, the sea is giving up the dead bodies in it, for judgment.
