You are 100% and completely FREE!
Yes this is a fact of the "GOOD NEWS". Please embrace this truth with joy and gladness!
Now some of you may be skeptical because you have not yet experienced this freedom that Christ has already accomplished for you, but that can not change the fact that you have been set free by Christ.
Let me give you an example. Slavery was officially abolished in 1865 when the 13 Amendment to the US Constitution became law. Even though that this was a fact of the law many slaves did not experience this freedom until years later and some never experienced true freedom at all. Why? Many did not know or fully realize what this law meant. Some slaves who heard the good news of this law who had been slaves all of their lives were fearful of the unknown freedom, choose to remain slaves and died in slavery.
Lets say in 1869 there was a slave still working hard for his master in the field and someone told him about how he had been already been set free. Now this person realizes that he is no longer a slave and rejoices with shouting and then leaves the field.
When was this person set free? He was set really free by the law in 1865 but he did not know the truth of his freedom until he heard it and believed it. His freedom was a reality by the law but he did not realize it until latter.
Now many of you are in this same position. Christ has already provided you 100% and complete freedom but you have not yet experienced it.
Wake up to the unchangeable truth - YOU HAVE BEEN SET FREE!!
Jesus Christ Himself has set you free!!
Just like the slave, you can do NOTHING to set yourself free. No self effort or any "works" could ever achieve this freedom. All you need to do is to believe and embrace the truth that Christ has already provided your freedom.
John 8:32, "And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."
Romans 6:6-7, "Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. For he that is dead is freed from sin."
Romans 6:14, "For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace."
Romans 6:22, "But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life."
Romans 8:2, "For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death."
Gal. 5:1, "Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage."
