Earthquake trend to support Mark 13:8

In Mark 13, Jesus speaks of the beginnings of sorrows:

Mar 13:8 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines and troubles: these are the beginnings of sorrows.
----

This seismological record (http://www.earth.webecs.co.uk/) lists the number of earthquakes over a magnitude 6.9 since 1863:

1863-1900 (38 year period): 12
1901-1938 (38 year period): 53
1939-1976 (38 year period): 71
1977-2010 (33 year period): 156 (predicted >190 by 2014)
