DAILY LIGHT - DECEMBER 10 MORNING

sermonindex Dec 10, 2010

No man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.

I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day. - The Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom. - We are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. - Your life is hid with Christ in God.

Hath not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he hath promised to them that love him?

Our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, even our Father, which hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace, comfort your hearts, and stablish you in every good word and work.

JOHN 10:29. II Tim. 1:12. II Tim. 4:18. -Rom. 8:37 39. Col. 3:3. Jas. 2:5. II Thes. 2:16,17.

No man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.--John 10:29

The safety of God's children does not rest on their own attainments, or even on their own fidelity and decision, but on the power of God. However great may be the strength of our enemies, or however subtle their efforts to overcome the believer, it is our comfort to know that none can pluck them out of our Father's hand. It implies that we are being held up by God Himself. "Hold Thou me up, and I shall be safe." "I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness" (Isa. 41:10). Here is the secret of our comfort--not what we are or hope to become, but what God is. "I know whom i have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto Him against that day" (2 Tim. 1:12). The ability of our God is the ground of our confidence. Greater is He that is with us, than all those who can be against us. "I am persuaded" said the apostle,"that neither death nor life . . . nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God . . . in Christ Jesus our Lord."
